The Letter Famous

Young blue orbs search pages of parchment
Turning them with gentle care,
Observing jumbled words.

Older eyes fall upon the page
Keen mind wrapped around each declaration.
Scrutinizing.

Blue watery bubbles scan the leaves
Hoping to grasp the knowledge
Held within the letter famous.

Debate, debate, debate,
You spew forth your rhetoric,
Speaking what you've spoken before,
Walking around the question
Never reaching the answer.
No matter.
My mind is steadfast, unchanged.
You've failed in your attempt to sway me.

Comes Death

Life's river ebbs.
Shallow breaths.
Orbs float in darkness.

Release.
