The Illuminatus Trilogy

A work of the true enemy

This book has quite possibly misled more people interested in discordianism than any other. This book is filled with the same old crap, which rips the serious face from the true discord and replaces it with a big plaid smiley face. Not only does it make an attempt to destroy discordianism, but it tries its hardest to make certain truths about conspiracies appear insane as well. Why would you want to do this? Well it's because you are the U.S. government and you saw the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone: further erode our people and cover up the truth by making it seem absurd. This book uses text from the false Principia Discordia in order to further humiliate Eris.

The sexual and drug content in this "story" also serve to make the true discordians look perverted and corrupt to the outsider, who happens to read it. It also pushes drug use, a practice that the U.S. government has used since the early 1950's with their importation of marijuana, the development and distribution of LSD in the 1960's, and now their highly developed and extensive policy of drug distribution, used to keep down the poor and minorities. This serves only to destroy the lives of individuals who are able to be pressured into using these substances. The government is able to keep people inactive, sedated, and occupied with drugs so that they may more easily control us. Tying the true followers of discord to drug use is inexcusable.

This book also portrays the beliefs of the true discordians as those of a group called the illuminati. The beliefs are similar. Unfortunately, however, we do not control the world. This was another ploy to make our allies distrustful in our beliefs. If others believe that we are a front for this imaginary organization, then they will be less likely to support our cause.

IF YOU READ THIS BOOK, BE CAREFUL NOT TO BE TAKEN IN BY THE ENEMY
