I submit for you a collection of praise songs, some born out of sermons from my church, some from my devotional scripture reading. I will be adding additional mp3 files as I can record them.
This is an exciting song of praise. It was born of a regular theme of our new pastor's sermons in the first year he was Senior Pastor at my churh - "We haven't seen anything yet." The first version is slightly more laid back and has some acoustic guitar. The second version is more driving with a powerful bass line. I also wrote a tag ending between the first and second recordings, which is included in the sheet music. I think this one needs a horn section, and maybe a burnin' B-3.

This is one of my favorite songs. It has a simple, catchy lyric with a fun, somewhat syncopated accompaniment.

This is a fun song of praise in 6/8. This version is just piano and voice. When I was playing it for my friend who plays guitar, he was playing all sorts of neat chords over pedal D in the chorus. The bridge before the key change is really hot.

Just as Paul reported to Timothy that he has run the race and fought the good fight and is ready to face his maker, we too commit to staying the course for the sake of the cross. This is a fun song that begs for a choir.

This is sort of an anthemic song, I finish off my worship concerts with it. The two-part bridge can be a little tricky, but overall it works well. Enjoy the harmonies!

This is a fun blues in G. The lyrics are based on an old slave spirtual that I read in Dr. Tony Evans' Lets Get To Know One Another. I highly recommend this book to any "white" Christian who is interested in learning more about the culture of our bretheren of color.
