Privy parades came out of not being able to communicate properly exactly where the privies were. When asked, "Where are the privies?" I would get the people asking into a line, have them hunch over and follow me to the privy. Of course I can't let them do this unnoticed. So I yell out "Privy Parade!" and usually a couple of the other apprentices will join the parade too. As I make my way through the crowd, I continue to announce that people have to use the privy and to make way. When we arrive at the privies I check to see if any of them is holding a program and if they are I'll say, "Ah, I've noticed you brought reading material. Good, you'll need that in the end." Another really bad joke but hey, it's what my character is built on. |
