A & R A& RWedding Car Hire Service, after quite some deliberation was the brain trust of Arthur Gates who since he was 6 years of age. when he grew up wanted his very own Rolls Royce. Being a car enthusiest from an early age, as he grew, he had collected and restored a few cars like a 1938 Desoto, 1928 Wippet, 1938 Austin 7. In the early 1990's Arthur bought his first Jaguar, a XJ6 Series 1,1970 model. Which he had for a few years, and then sold. He got a Ford Escort Ghia which he had for another few years and again sold it as well. In 1998 he again bought another XJ6 and two weeks later bought another XJ6 (all cars featured to the left-Top wedding hire-Bottom Art's early restorations). In February 2001 he purchased a 1980 Series 3 Daimler Double 6. It was at this point he thought that it was unfair to keep these cars to himself and decided to get all three cars into shape and make them available for Weddings. July 2001 saw his childhood dream come true he finaly got his wish, in the form of a. 1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.
