ROB MYSTERY TRAVEL DIARIES!
PART 14 - VIENNA CHAPTER 2
Vienna X-mas 2003

We managed to take breakfast every day on another location just like our diner and coffees. Absolute must for breakfast is the Frauenhofer in the city and Gina Weihbar between the Linker Wienziele and the Gumperdorferstrasse for breakfast on Sunday Morning. Ginas Weihbar, where Lesbian and Gay men are welcome in that order painted on the front door, was more then we expected. A very warm welcome, huge breakfast and very friendly chef of the house who invited us to the Silvesterparty in town, which we had to decline since we werent there at New Years eve.

Visit the Furniture depot of the Habsburger family on the Mariahilferstreet and you have no need to see the Schonnbrunn Palace of the inside since the depot shows you everything which has been inside the palaces of centuries. We wanted to see the Steinhofkirche but it will be renovated until 2005 but we took a look at one of the many churches of Vienna. Kunsthistorical Museum was overfilled with people but was o so magical beautifull, we have missed so many other museums, which even I still havent seen, even after my numerious visits to Vienna in the past.

Olaf and I also had our occosianal dive in the city nightlife. We spend one evening at Kaiserbrunnen to warm up after a cold day but where not really impressed by the locals running around. The Savoy bar was to crowded to breath but we had a great evening meal at Berg Cafe which had a better chef-cook then we would have expected in a bar. Chameleon Bar is an American Bar where I took my evening drink and enjoyed the night crowd. And not to forget the nightlife at other little bars which we cannot name as we forgot the names but not the addresses.
