This Cartoon was published Jan-30-2004.
I thought that this was an amusing idea that probably isn't to far off from the truth. UTM's fraternal organizations usually will average a GPA that is below the required 2.0.
I thought the calculations the characters wrote on the blackboard were funny.
I need to scan these cartoons in before they are published, because on newsprint you can see the articles, pictures, and headlines bleeding through.
Moreover, the shading, an editor did, on this cartoon is atrocious. The guy funneling a beers left arm is shaded but not his right, the space between his arm and the tube on the blackboard, and the space between the guy doing a keg stands head and the keg. The UTM shirt was also shaded the same color as his skin. I guess they were trying to make it a little more appealing to look at, but they didn't do the shading very well and again it just winds up a little confusing.
But beyond the little shading details I was pleased with this cartoon. I got a lot of help from my friend Jay on this one he provided me with tools and some ideas. Thanks Jay.
Not everyone has an appreciation for my cartoons especially this guy!
