College Ranks Bart Conner, America's most decorated gymnast, is used to playing hard and playing hurt. A master of the parallel bars, he's probably best known for overcoming a second torn bicep injury to win two gold medals at the 1984 Olympics.

Sept. 17- On the evening of Sept. 5, 1972 in Munich, Germany, current Minnesota wrestling coach J Robinson lay in his bed awaiting his first match as a wrestler in the Olympic Games. Gunshots suddenly pierced the silence in the Olympic Village as eight Arab commandos entered the Village and killed a pair of Israeli Olympians and kidnapped nine others. By the next day, all 11 athletes were dead.
Bowling Green standout inducted into school's incoming Hall of Fame class
Sept. 22- When she graduated from Bowling Green in 1980, Cheryl Christiansen held school records in the vault, balance beam and floor exercise. In 1977, she was the first BG gymnast ever to place as high as second in the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women regional finals. She also was the first gymnast in school history to earn a score of 9.0 in an event.
