| Growing up as an MK (missionary kid) has shaped my life in many different ways, and has given me a unique background and perspective. My parents are missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators. My dad is a pilot and my mom has worked in many different capacities. We lived in Ecuador, South America, Liberia, West Africa, and Colombia, South America. I have also visited many other countries including Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Brazil, and England, and we have also visited or driven through most of the 50 U.S. states. I am devoting this page to MK issues because I think it's important to recognize the special qualities and experiences of MKs. These sites have been a resource for me and hopefully they will be helpful to other MKs who visit my page, and help inform non-MKs about what it means to be one. |
