Robin: So today was the last day of the long ordeal I've been dealing with.
After the prosecuting attorneys viewed the tape and the evidence, they basically
all agree it was not a battery charge, it's ridiculous that I was even
charged with battery.
I know that. And now I think it's great that everybody else knows that. Will they
throw the charges out completely? No. They offered me a 415 which for all of
you all who don't know what a 415 is--which
I didn't know what one is either because
why would I; I've never been in trouble before. A 415 is disturbing the peace.
It's basically playing your music too loud or being drunk in public.
I guess it is the lowest misdemeanor you can get and it's basically a fine.
Within a year it gets expunged off my record,
therefore I will not have a record at all.
But the fact that I even had to go through this makes me a little upset.
I didn't, "battery" a US Marine. This got so blown out of proportion because of a
camera crew that follows me. If I seem a little upset right now,
I am I'm very upset.
I can't take it back. I did tap somebody in
the arm because we were joking around.
I tried to tell the guy I was sorry. But my Hello Kitty ring scratched him.
But I guess the lesson learned is don't have a camera crew following you around...
