Performance Experience

• ITA Rosolino Jazz Competition - Runner-Up (2003)
  Runner-up in the International Trombone Association Frank Rosolino Jazz Trombone Competition. Performances at the 2003 International Trombone Festival held in Helsinki, Finland.
• Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead Residency Program (2003)
  10-day residency at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Worked with artist such as John Clayton, Curtis Fuller, Jimmy Owens, Winard Harper focusing on performance/composition.
• Maritime Jazz Orchestra (2002-present)
  Trombone in jazz orchestra - performances with Kenny Wheeler at IAJE 2003. Other members included Mike Murley, Gene Smith, John Hollenbeck, Jim Vivian, Kirk MacDonald, and David Braid.
• Robin Jessome Quartet (2001-present)
  Leader/arranger of small jazz ensemble. Invited performances at West of Jazz East jazz festival.
• St.FX Big Band (1999-present)
  Lead/featured soloist also composer/arranger. Backed guest artists including Conrad Herwig, Lew Soloff, John Hollenbeck, and Ian McDougall.
• Hargreaves/Jessome/Macmillan Trio (2002-2003)
  Trombone and composer for jazz trio.

  Trombone/arranger for jazz octet.

• Freelance work includes performances with the Paul Tynan Nonet, Bobby Selvaggio Octet, the St.FX faculty sextet, the Maritime Jazz Orchestra (led by Greg Carter), the Acadia University Summer Jazz Camp faculty ensemble, as well as various dance bands and ensembles.

  Shared the stage with Kenny Wheeler, Dave Restivo, Mike Murley, Conrad Herwig, John Hollenbeck, David Braid, Lew Soloff, Ian McDougall.
