I am the Head Master of Rogues Refuge, and Guild Master of the Arsonist's Guild. I am The Great Robin Elminster, aka Robin Fitzooth, aka Robert Hode.
I am the son of Edward and Elizabeth, Lord and Lady of the House Elminster (.....and I am
an alcoholic). In 1496 my parents were exiled from England for their belief in the Yorkist
right to the thrown of England. I was born in September of 1511 in Amboise France,
and lived there with my parents until they were taken by The Black Death (May
they rest in peace) in 1517. Left an orphan, I was lucky to be taken in for a time
by a brilliant inventor/architect/painter in Chateau de Cloux, France (who I knew
only as Leonardo). I studied under him as an apprentice for nearly a year and
a half until his death in 1519 (May he also rest in peace). Orphaned twice before
the age of ten, I was forced to live in the streets of the many nameless towns
throughout the Kingdoms of Spain and France, and the Empire of Rome. Finnaly, after
a bit of trouble in the Kingdom of Naples, I returned to England to find my roots.
And after yet a bit more trouble, (it
finds me, I swear) I was forced into hiding in the forest west of Granthom.
While there I found a secluded piece of land, accessible only by a narrow bridge.
There stood an abandoned monastery. After a brief but necessary stay, I started
to pass the word of the "safe place" I have since been calling home. Now friends
come and go, knowing that Rogues Refuge will always be there in times of need. A safe place for the darker members of society to flee persecution, and drink with friends among the trees.
