The Lodge on the Loch is one of the Freedom of the Glen family of hotels, a small chain of lochside family owned hotels in the Fort William Area. What makes this hotel special is its range of individually styled rooms. Each one is decorated and furnished in a particular style, with names ranging from 'Body and Soul' to 'Nova Scotia' and 'Nature's Dawn'.

We stayed in the Cool Classic room, with it's generously sized bathroom and two-person spa bath. A selection of Aromatherapy and massage oils collection is provided in this light and airly room.

What is apparent is that each room has been styled with attention to detail, to fit into the theme and ensure that the selection of luxury rooms are just that little bit special.

The Cool Classic room features a large bay window, with two large arm chairs to gaze out of, overlooking the beautiful views of the Loch.
Whilst nearby Fort William isn't the most attractive of towns, the hotel is on the doorstep of the beatuty of Ben Nevis. If you wish to venture further afield, Oban is well worth a visit, as is the island of Mull with "the prettiest village in all the Hebrides", Tobermory, also known to CBeebies viewers as Balamory.
