If you were to try and picture a magnificant, imposing mansion in the Scottish Highlands, Damlmunzie would fit the bill perfectly. Reached via a long, private road, with it's own quaint bridge, this former lairds residence boasts its own golf course, but the most spectacular feature of this hotel is the fabulous scenery of the Glenshee mountians.

Apart form the peace and tranquility of the breathtaking surroundings, those who enjoy a spirited drive will never tire of the road from Glenshee to Blairgowrie, not to mention the rest of the highland roads.
With its imposing fireplaces and large sofas to relax upon, the welcome you receive from the character of the hotel and friendliness of the staff makes this somewhere special to get away to.
The hotel offers a range of 'feature' rooms, from the Four Poster rooms to the Tower rooms, pictured left. The MacKintosh room is simply massive, with extra character coming from the round turreted 'corners' on three sides.
The restaurant menu is a pure delight, with each dish cooked to perfection. The staff make a real difference to the feel of the whole hotel and ask for a run down of the extensive wine list and you will not be disappointed.
If I can steal a quotation from the Dalmunzie web site (http://www.dalmunzie.com) "It was so calm and so solitary ... all seemed to breath freedom and peace, and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoil's." Queen Victoria's diary on her first night in the Highlands, 1848.
