Hi there, my name is Robert and I am currently 23. I was born at Watford on June 8th 1980. At one year old I had a very rare form of T.B.that caused me to get a blood clot on my neck. This was removed and left me with a scar which I still have. I was on treatment for a year and I was cured. It also meant I did not have to have my BCG like everyone else which I was happy about at the time but know that I am diabetic it seems stupid to have ever worried about it. I became diabetic when I was 13 in 1993 and I am insulin dependent which means I inject four times a day. This has caused some problems with my health and I have been to hospital a few times.
I have two brothers, Edward,27 and Thomas,26. They are both firefighters but Tom is doing a degree in Imagemaking and Edd does gardening work also. My mum is Diana, 62. She is a supply teacher and a prvate tutor mainly with French. My Dad, Brian, is a retired firefighter who now still works for the Fire Brigade delivering goods. Other family worth mentioning are my four cousins Holly, Abbie, Georgia and Brett, my uncle Richard, my auntie Frances, my second cousins Becky and David.
During my junior school years, I once put washing-up liquid in our fish tank because I thought they looked dirty. Of course they all died...oops! I had a best friend called Michelle who lived down my road and one day we went to the allotments and picked some strawberries. Unfortunately the woman who owned the strawberries was not best pleased and came out running after us and gave Michelle a chinese burn. Normally I would go over to Michelle's house and play on the Spectrum or dress up in her room and play with Barbie dolls.
In 1987 we moved house and I went to Knutsford School where I always felt I had no friends. In 1991 I started Queens' School in Bushey and in Year 7 I was run over at the end of my road. At school I made friends with Francis Amery and James Ellisdon but they both turned against me by Year 8 and I would get bullied on occasion especially during P.E. lessons which I think are evil! I got 2 As, 6 Bs, 2 Cs and 1 D for my GCSE's. When I started 6th Form things got much better and I made loads of friends. I did 3 A Levels and got B for Art, C for Geography and N for Biology! I decided I wanted to do Art and went to Amersham to do an Art Foundation course which I passed.
In 1999 I joined an Imagemaking and Design BA Hons course and last year I completed it with a HND. I really enjoy doing graphic design but I still don't know if this is what I want a career in. Most people say I am lazy. I should also mention that I am gay but then that is pretty obvious.
