DESCRIPTION - Substantial piece with dense, level paint application, clean smooth gloss finish, heavy wood feel, modern presentation, where painted panel thickness projects outward from wooden stage, rather than being recessed inward behind traditional framing - A Kernodle original in signature style - his original fluidism style based on manipulated, fluid paint masses that dry to capture spontaneous fluid dynamic patterns - Streams of green and yellow green stretch to their limits to become a flowscape of slightly raised, elongated pinnacles enmeshed in a labyrinth of criss-crossing filaments, over which three spheres seem to float - This piece has a fulfilling three-dimensionality of paint build up that can be seen and totally appreciated only in the presence of the actual artwork
HISTORY - Between years 2003 and 2004, Kernodle made a series of six medium-sized fluidism panels - His method was to create the main painted panel on a separate platform that he could manipulate vigorously to spread and collide various pools or layerings of liquid - This is one of those six panels, which he has not mounted until now - Handmade - Original art - One of a kind - No copies
