Poser (Week 1)
Jump to the Ellie on the Staircase render

Hi All, Well here is Ellie !!! . Ummm it was all going fine until i decided to experiment with re-scaling. It seems the scaling only happened on the selected object/figure. Of course when i tried to re-scale it back i was not having any luck at all. But interesting dontcha think ? Sylvia, is grouping of objects/figures going to be covered ?

OK, Here is Ellie the way she should be, almost. Notice her left shoe? don't know what's up with that i tried reworking it and it was not cooperating. But she looks a little better than her previous self above, yes ? LOL !

Headshot of Ellie ... |
| I thought I would try using lighting a little more creatively. I position one light source from below right .. Her facial feature look more life-like with a softer light. | ![]() |

I wanted to play a little
and place a background in Bryce. I took a class with Sylvia on Bryce in
which i created a tree that i wanted to put behind her. However, i had
lots of problems importing the model to Bryce 5. I know its done easily so
i am curious to know what i did wrong. I exported from Poser into .dxf and
when i loaded in Bryce it was horrible. So i thought i would try .3ds ...
a little better but the rendering has terrible. Finally, i wanted a
background so i opened Photoshop and created a textured background. Also
soften some of her hairline, recolored her eyes, burned eyebrows and added
a little color to her lips.
OK so i had some spare time ;o) |
| Well, i thought i would try to import using Wavefront and see if the model looked better. Certainly did - so then I placed a staircase and getting an oval wall took a little doing. Guess my Bryce is a little rusty, but luckily i was able to look up Sylvia notes to skin a taurus so that i could fit a camera inside it and give the impressing of a tower. I had all sorts of trouble with the lights, that took the bulk of my time, in the end i decided to cheat and render them in Photoshop. I think it still looks effective. | ![]() |
