Sound: 5
Inexpensive set provides for generally all-around good response, but
low power
and generally tinny output lends itself to the FM radio it came with,
not CD
or cassette. Surprisingly useful in distinguishing frequencies, however,
with
its very high dropoff of bass response (frequency range quite small).
Feel: 7
Like a pair of cotton balls stuck to a metal frame, and covered in
coarse Sony
earpads. Not particularly bad, but feel as if they will pop off one's
head at
any given moment. Rather large for their puny driver size (20 mm?).
Design and look: 6
Seemingly well-made, and they've never in any way tarnished due to
use, but this
has more to do with lack of use than manufacturing. Not very visually
appealing
either for that matter.
Features: 5
Smallish driver, small frequency range, double cord set, metal frame,
passable,
totally unremarkable.
Uses: 7
Pretty set on the portable end, and even so only really for radio--recorded
materials are simply not usable here. VERY light, with a cord of good
length.
Price: N/A
I've never seen this for sale seperately.
Overall: 6
Good, dependable, but with a rather narrow usage spectrum.
