REALITY OF SATAN

Robert Hyatt
1996

1. <Q> Who is Satan & where did he come from?
<A> Satan is one of our Heavenly Fathers first spiritual
children who rebelled against the eternal plan of
salvation. He came from our heavenly home.

2. <Q> What was his plan of salvation?
<A> Satan's plan was to send mankind down to Earth and
force them to obey God's laws. This would make him
king of the Earth, this taking the glory from Christ.

3. <Q> Did Satan have followers of this plan?
<A> Yes. In fact the scriptures tell us that 1/3 the
host of heaven followed Satan and will never have
the opportunity to come to Earth and receive an
Earthly body.

4. <Q> What is Satan's role here on Earth?
<A> To take away mans free agency and keep them from
returning back to our Fathers presence, thus halting
our eternal progression. Satan tempts us to disobey
Father that he may have power and glory over us.

5. <Q> What was Satan's role in the garden of Eden?
<A> To tempt Adam & Eve to disobey Father.

6. <Q> Does Satan have limitations?
<A> Yes. He can't tempt us beyond our spiritual & physical
limits. We invite Satan's influence when we disobey
God's commandments.

7. <Q> Can Satan possess Earthly bodies?
<A> Yes. In fact he and/or his angels can possess any
human being or animal except the dove. Satan usually
possesses our bodies when we allow him to.

8. <Q> What are some of the characteristics of Satan?
<A> Deceiver, tempter, master of sin, enemy to God, father
of secret combinations, founder of the abominable
church, destroyer of souls, etc.

9. <Q> What are some of his names?
<A> Satan, the devil, evil one, belsebub, perdition, etc.

10. <Q> Is Satan the God of this Earth.
<A> Yes, but only in its temporal state.

11. <Q> What about Satan's power over the waters?
<A> In the beginning God blessed the waters and cursed
the land, but in the latter-days (now), God blessed
the land and gave Satan power over the waters. Only
those with great faith will be able to ride on the
waters in the last days. (D & C 61)

12. <Q> Does Satan have the power to kill?
<A> No, but only Satan can tempt a man or woman to kill.

13. <Q> What about ouiji boards and seances?
<A> Members are strongly advised not to become involved
in such evil practices. It is through these mediums
that Satan and his followers work most diligently.
Other advice can include: not holding hands in a
circle while praying, and not talking at length about
Satan and his workings.

14. <Q> Will Satan be bound during the millennium?
<A> Yes, Satan will not have power to tempt mankind
during the millennium, but man will still have his
free agency. Some will no doubt choose to do evil.

15. <Q> What will happen to Satan after the millennium?
<A> He will be loosed again for a short season and once
more be able to tempt mankind. This he will do with
greater efforts than before, knowing the end of the
Earth is soon to come.

16. <Q> What will happen at the end of this short season?
<A> Satan will rage a great and final battle called
the battle of Gog and Megog, uniting his forces
against those of the righteous. The righteous will
be triumphant, then Satan will be sent away bound
forever, no longer able to tempt mankind. He will
no doubt take his followers with him.

17. <Q> Is there a Satan for each world?
<A> Yes, there is evidence to this, as there are
different Adams for each world, so it is with Satans.
