Robert Hyatt
1996

1. In short, the law of consecration and stewardship means to
consecrate or deed over all that one has to the Lord, then in
return receive back only that which is necessary, so that
there are no poor.

2. The united order was the financial portion of the law of
consecration.

3. This law was first introduced in the early history of the
church. The saints were not ready to live the law, so it
was done away with.

4. The law of tithing now takes care of the finances of the
church.

5. The law of consecration and stewardship is a higher law. It
will again be lived in the millennium and in the celestial
kingdom.

6. The current welfare organization and the law of tithing are
preparing saints now to live the law of consecration later.

7. Communism and the law of consecration are very different.

8. Communism takes away the free agency of man, and the law of
consecration adds to mans free agency.

9. With this law every member is given a stewardship according
to their abilities, needs, and talents.

10. Every steward renders an accounting of his stewardship to the
bishop on a regular basis.

11. Stewardship is the portion of food or property that the Lord
gives you through the bishop and storehouse to which you have
an obligation to use wisely, so that you deed back to the Lord
your increase.
