Is God a Spirit or does he have a body of Flesh and Bones
like man?
Most Christian Churches today believe that God does not have
a body of Flesh and Bones. They believe that he is a Spir-
it. They quote the following scripture in their defense:
John 4:24 "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must
worship him in spirit and in truth."
The following are scriptures from the King James Version
show that God does have a body of Flesh and Bones.
Either John 4:24 is a mis-translation or the Bible is
contradicting itself. I personally believe that John 4:24
is a mis-translation. There are too many scriptures that
show otherwise.
Gen 1:26,27 "And God said, Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness....So God created man in
his own image, in the image of God created
he him;.."
Gen 18:1,22 Abraham sees the Lord: "And the Lord appeared
unto him in the plains of Mamre:..And the men
turned their faces from thence, and went toward
Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord."
Gen 32:30 Jacob said "I have seen God face to face.."
Ex. 19:10,11 "And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the
people,..let them wash their clothes...and be
ready...for the third day the Lord will come
down in the Sight of all the people upon
mount Sinai."
Ex. 24:9-11 "Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and
Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
And they saw the God of Israel:.."
Ex. 33:11 "And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face as
a man speaketh unto his friend..."
Matt. 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall
see God."
Matt. 18:10 "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little
ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels
do always behold the face of my Father which is in
heaven.
1 John 3:2 "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it
doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we
know that, when he shall appear, we shall be
like him; for we shall see him as he is."
Acts 7:55,56 Stephen sees God and Christ in Heaven. "But he
being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up sted-
fastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God,
and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened,
and the Son of man standing on the right hand
of God."
Gen 26:23,24 God appears to Isaac: "And he went up from
thence to Beer-sheba. And the Lord appeared
unto him the same night,..."
Gen 35:9 "And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he
came out of Padanaram, and blessed him."
Gen 48:3 "And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty
appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan,
and blessed me."
Ex. 6:3 "And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and
unto Jacob, by the name of God.."
Deut. 34:10 "And there arose not a prophet since in Israel
like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to
face."
Deut. 9:10 "And the Lord delivered unto me two tables of
stone written with the finger of God.."

Num 12:5 "And the Lord came down in the pillar of the
cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle
and called Aaron and Miriam:.."
Gen 5:22 "And Enoch walked with God..."
There are many other scriptures that show that God has a
body of flesh and bones like man. How much plainer must the
scriptures be. I think that Satan has done an excellent job
deceiving mankind in believing that God is a spirit. He
does not want us to know the true character & attributes of
God. It is my prayer that the reader of this article will
search the scriptures and pray to your Father in Heaven so
that they will know personally the truth concerning God.
It is my personal testimony that God our Heavenly Father
does have a body of Flesh and Bones. When we receive our
resurrected bodies and go to heaven I think we'll see that
God also has a body just like ours. The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints has in my opinion the only true
doctrine concerning the character & attributes of the
Godhead.
