THE JONES FAMILY

     WILLIAM JONES, was born about 1800,in Wales, he was
married about 1819 to ANN GILES. The family lived at Neath, West
Glamorgan,Wales. WILLIAM and ANN children:Mary,born 11 July
1820,Margaret,born 4 Feb. 1822 and DAVID T.(X) JONES, born
16 Oct. 1825 and christened 27 Nov 1825, at Neath,West
Glamorgan,Wales. WILLIAM was a Coperman.      
     DAVID T.(X) JONES, was married to ANN THOMAS,at Wilkes-
Barre,Luz,PA on 16 July 1853. ANN was born 9 Feb 1832 and
christened 15 March 1832 at Mydrim,Carmarthen,Wales. Her parents
are WILLIAM THOMAS & ANNE GRIFFITH.
     DAVID arrived in the United States in 1850. The 1860 census
shows the family living in Hyde Park,Luz,Pa.(Scranton,Pa.)
The family was still living there in 1870. In 1880 the
family was living in Kingston Twp,Luz,PA. DAVID was a Coal-
miner, he was a naturalized citizen prior to 1870. Sometime
prior to 1891 DAVID and ANN moved to Throop,Lack.,PA. ANN
died there 28 Jan 1891, ANN was a member of Pocahautas Lodge
at Wilkes-Barrie,Luz,PA. DAVID died 5 Mar 1899,at the home
of his son JOHN, at Peckville,Lack.,PA. He had made a trip
to Scranton,PA. On his return to Peckville,PA. He suffered a
relapse from a recent attact of grip and miners`asthma. His
private life was a model one, being a great Bible student.
He was a member of the Baptist Church, which he attended
regular. DAVID and ANN are both buried at Forty-Fort
Cemetery,Forty-Fort,Luz.,PA. (Site 716 & 717). Their
Children: Anne,Jul 1854,Catharine,7 Oct. 1857,Isaac,14 Dec 1859,
Emily,Feb 1863, Edwin,6 Aug.1864,William,17 May1868,
Frederic,1869 and JOHN FRANKLIN, 24 Dec 1872.
     Anne Married Alfred Raynor in 1871, Catherine married John
J. Powell in 1877, Isaac Married Margaret in 1881, Emily married
Edward W. Trescott in 1885, Edwin married Margaret Jones 19 Aug
1891,William married Alice Baker 19 aug 1891, Frederic married
Minnie Whitesell 3 Dec 1892.
     JOHN FRANKLIN JONES,was born 24 Dec 1872, at Plymouth,
Luz,PA. He was married 26 Jun 1893, at Peckville Baptist
Church,Peckville,Lack.,PA. To BLANCH ESTELLE HARDING, born
12 Oct. 1875 at Jermyn,Lack.PA. To PERRY GREEN HARDING and 
LORINDA FINCH. JOHN was a Coalminer, and was active with the
young people and formed a band. Which used to practice at
his home, 226 Hickory St. Peckville,Pa.JOHN died at a young
age 20 July 1917, of Septic Arthritis. JOHN is buried at
Prospect Hill Cemetery,Peckville,Lack.,PA. His grave is
unmarked. JOHN and BLANCH children: LORINDA,12 Dec 1895,
Fred,4 Feb 1898, John 16 Apr 1900, and Russell 24 May 1904.
     Fred was married 15 Nov 1922, to Anna Dailey, Fred and
Anna had one daughter Barbara,born 4 Sept 1935,at Blakely,
Lack,Pa. Fred was a Coalminer, he died 29 Oct 1972.
     John was married about 1936, to Dorothy, John was a
career  Navy Man. He died Mar 1974,at Whitefield,NH. John
and Dorothy didn`t have any children.
     Russell was married 27 Oct 1927, to Alma Kamrath.
Russell and Alma had three sons,Arnold,born 26 Jan 1932,
Russell,born 17 Mar 1935, and Keith,born 24 Jun 1944.
Russell died 24 Feb 1983, at Wayne,NJ.
     LORINDA was married 27 Apr 1921, to EDMUND KEMPSELL.
