In the beginning club members met to play sociable competitive volleyball.
Since those early beginnings the club has developed to become one of the prominent clubs within the Northern Counties League.
We have teams in both the Regional Premier League and Ladies League.
There is a junior section which is run by George Arnott at the Sporting Club in Cramlington with many juniors progressing to the senior teams.
George also runs a scheme within schools in the Blyth Valley Area, this culminates in a schools competition held at Concordia at Easter.
The club supports all the local/regional competitions and we send a team upto Scotland every year to partake in the Perth grass tournament, were we have had great success over the recent years.
The club meets on Wednesday nights at 8pm at Concordia Leisure Centre, Cramlington Northumberland.
September to June we are indoors
July and August we play on the beach weather permitting

The competition took place at the Wentworth Sports Centre in Hexham with teams from all over the Northern region competing in 3 divisions.
Concordia Comets were competing in division 2 and were never troubled in the group matches progressing easily to the semi finals where they met a team from Newcastle University, after a shaky start Concordia ran out eventual winners to progress to the final where they met Tynedale Reivers, this was a fiercely fought match but Concordia Comets played some outstanding volleyball and eventually ran out comfortable winners.
Concordia Comets play in Division 2 of the Northern Counties Volleyball League and are currently leading the division having been unbeaten; with two matches to play they should secure promotion into Division one next season.
Concordia Men�s team had a stiffer task to come through the group stages of the cup competition with the standard of the teams competing in the Premier cup competition being very high.
Concordia only lost one match in the group stage to meet Marden Rhino�s in the semi final, Concordia played some outstanding volleyball in hard fought match to defeat Marden and set up an eagerly waited final against Newburn the only team to beat Concordia in the group stages.
The final as expected was a fantastic game both sides played some outstanding volleyball with the game flowing back and forth Concordia managed to get 4 points ahead and ran out worthy winners when time ran out.
Concordia men�s team play in the Northern Counties Premier League and should finish in the top three this season.
