| To Macon Middle School, to play the Franklin Panthers: Go I-40 W to exit 27, this puts you on 74 toward Waynesville. Follow to exit 81, US 441 toward Dillsboro/Franklin. Go through Dillsboro, and STAY ON THE 4 LANE HIGHWAY. You will see some FRANKLIN exits, but stay on the 4 lane. You will pass a Walmart and then an exit for Highlands, but stay on the 4 lane! THE NEXT PLACE YOU CAN GET OFF THE 4 LANE WILL BE A LEFT... NOT AN EXIT RAMP.... Small sign with an arrow saying Macon County Middle School. (If you get to the Atlanta exit, past the Walmart, you have gone to far!) This is Dowdle Mountain Road. You will come to a stop sign, turn left, follow down the hill to another stop sign turn Right Wells Grove Road, about a 1/4 mile to the school. You are out in the country, and you are suppose to be!! About an hour and a half to drive. |
