Purpose of this site
Hi - and welcome to my site. Today I decided that it was time I found a part of the net to call my own. I don't really have any major plans for this site to have any one particular theme - just a whole bunch of stuff that is of interest to me and hopefully might be of interest to you too.
My main interest in Music, so I'll use this site mainly to post my current favorite musical recommendations, perhaps some views of current events in the music world (things to look out for etc), as well as maybe posting info about things which I think are important.
Also - I am going to be traveling this year, so I intend to use this site to put up info about what's happening with me and my girlfriend as we make our way around the world.
This site is new, so bear with me as I work out what I want and what I want to give you. Hopefully you won't be disappointed.

INTERESTS
Basically, I'm a big Metallica fan, but I also love The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, The Wildhearts, The Manic Street Preachers, The Chemical Brothers, Wu Tang Clan, Aphex Twin and Beck.
I also am pretty interested in playing music. I have played in a couple of bands, and am also kinda trying to learn to DJ, pretty unsuccessfully! Whilst away travelling I hope to learn to surf. I've had a go last time I was in Oz and found that it was for me through boogie boarding. I hope to take things further and get 'standing up' this time. I love the sea, and think that either above or below it's a thing of enourmous power and beauty and is also something to respect AND fear. I am also qualified as an open-water SCUBA diver and, hope to do some more dives both in Oz and South East Asia. If there's anyone with any diving experience in Asia in particular I'd love to hear from you as I hope to do lots there.
Finally, I am also interested in computers. I work as a Systems Admin (but only until then end of November - then I'M OUTTA HERE! YAY!), and we run Novell 5.1 here at my work. It's a real small network, but it's cool and thus I am always looking to learn more and further my knowledge / career in IT. Will be looking for jobs in Sydney come February, so if anyone wants to give me a job... ;)
