Brad Karel & 401 Run
News
March 3rd/2003: Some great shows, and great people to play for.   What can I say.

Brad Karel, just after playing a nice gig in at JT's in St. Thomas (good despite a snowstorm) had a fun show at what I call the "Home Base" of 401 Run: the Cadillac Lounge.   The club once again treated us real well, as did the crowd.   It was real nice to see so many people at our show, even with Canadian Music Week going on (which we weren't involved in).   Nick Robertson was our guest guitarist and he kicked it with his high energy playing and some "rockstar" poses.
The future looks good in April, with
Brad Karel returning to a few great venues: we'll be back in at The Derby in Hamilton, and at the Golden Tap in Chatham again too.    Other shows are always popping up, so keep checking here OR the official Brad Karel Website for more news and updates!!

June 13th/2003: 401 Run is catching fire.    The band has just finished a string of gigs in Barrie, Hamilton, Toronto, and most recently: Belleville.   And all I can say is that we rocked all those joints hard!!   The audience really dug each and every show, and I do believe you'll be seeing us in all those towns more often!!
   The Belleville show at
Little Texas in particular went very well.    The accomodations were superb, and the sound system was great.   The staff was incredibly friendly and the people of Belleville are a great bunch to play to.    We also had an interview on Q100 FM with Justin (one of the on-air personalities on that station) and frankly we had a good time.   The band also performed one song accoustically (Hurt So Good by John Mellencamp) as well as the witty reparte that is unique to the 401 Run boys.
Coming up for the band?   Well we have
Nick Robertson subbing in for Mark MacDonald when we perform at TJ's in Kitchener this Saturday.   If you don't remember Nick, well he was the original guitarist for the band, and though we'll miss Mark's energy on stage that night, Nick brings in his own arsenal of bluegrass and rock licks that I'm sure will amaze you.
    We're at
JR's in London on the 27-28th of June.   This time when we play London, we're playing a good club with a good audience, and from what I understand, a friendly staff (we played another club in London once to less than satisfactory conditions and service where I couldn't get a glass of water because I wasn't a paying customer.)      After that, were at a new venue for us... The Rodeo in Brantford.    I'm personally looking forward to this gig because of the number of friends I have out in Brantford who I know will be coming out.  Plus I've heard its supposed to be a high spirited club.   Love those kind of clubs.
There's a lot of other shows coming up in the next few weeks, so I encourage you to come check us out whenever were in town!!   Check the
Schedule page for information.  And don't forget to check the Brad Karel and 401 Run official webpage!!
