| Sometimes due to an injury or a sickness it becomes necessary for a breeder or pet owner to put down one of his or her animals in order to alleviate suffering and/or protect the rest of his or her animals from the risk of a dangerous infection. There are many methods of euthanasia that are practiced but many of these are inhumane and do not provide a quick, painless death.
