About Robbie's Bunnies

    Robbie's Bunnies was started in December of 2002 when I received four rabbits and a 12 foot cage with 6 compartments from my uncle. The rabbits belonged to his two daughters who didn't really have the time to take care of them. I was wanting to get into rabbits so I was glad to take them. Since then, Robbie's Bunnies has grown to a rabbitry of about 22 holes (hoping to add more soon) and I only raise pedigreed rabbits.

     My barn is a shelter built off our horse barn. it is walled in and has an 18 inch attic exhaust fan in one end for ventilation. I have flourescent lighting on a timer to provide about 14-16 hours of light.

      All of my bunnies are fed Purina Complete Blend Rabbit Chow and unlimited coastal bermuda hay for their diet. I feed the hay in hay racks which I built myself out of 1/2" x 1/2" hardware cloth. Sometimes I give them treats of parsley, carrots, dandelions, and a few others. Parsley and carrot tops are their favorites.
