Episode 11

Tone was eliminated. She left four people behind. Only three of them could go to the final round. And on of them can win an exemption in this episode. A free pass to the finale...

Day 21 - Kamloops
The contestants are told that Per Simon, the Mole in a previous edition of the Norwegian Mole, is in town. He will collect a valueable suitcase somewhere in town. They have to spy on him and try to get the suitcase before he does. Per Simon is equipped with a mini camera in his sunglasses, so it's not easy to spot him without a camera crew around him. If they can get the suitcase before Per, they win 20,000 NOK. But they can also try to photograph Per Simon, without getting seen themselves. For each clear photograph of Per, they win 5,000 NOK.
Ingrid drives, Petter has a map. Cathrine and Anette are in the backseat and find a box with a polaroid camera and two pictures of Per Simon. On a map they see where Per Simon will go to and at which stops he will stop. They follow his taxi to a big building and see Per going inside. Cathrine and Anette quickly get out and hide somewhere near the entrance, waiting for him to come back. But Per is going to the basement parking lot and drives off in a new car.
They drive to the next location: a store. Per goes inside and gets keys for another car. The contestants are across the street, far off and as Per goes to the car, Cathrine takes a picture of him. But it's very unclear, you can't really see that it's Per on the picture. 

Per stops at a hotel and the contestants stop somewhere near too. Anette and Cathrine get out and run aroudn the block to try and take a picture of him. Just as Anette passes the corner, she sees Per walking straight towards them and they flee away. They hide behind a container, not knowing, that that's the place Per Simon is going to, to take an envelope, which is taped on a roof. The girls walk around the container, trying to avoid him.
Ingrid and Petter see it all happening from the car and Ingrid is laughing out loud nervously.
Anette goes back to the car, but Cathrine is waiting aroudn the corner, for Per to come back. Just as he passes the corner, she quickly takes a picture and runs off, up a stairs, hiding on a roof. Ingrid sees that Per has read the info in the envelope and has thrown it away. Anette quikly gets out the car to go get the piece of paper he threw away and now they have their next clue to the next location. But they can't drive off yet, because they don't know where Cathrine is. She's on the roof and takes another picture of Per. Per drives off, but the others are still waiting for Cathrine. Ingrid is yelling and honking the war horn. Finally she arrives and they drive to the next location.

On their way, in the middle of the pursuit, Petter starts filing his fingernails. Cathrine signals it to Ingrid through the rear-view mirror and she gets angry and takes the file away from Petter. After a while they arrive at a restaurant where Per Simon will be going to. Cathrine and Anette get inside the restaurant and ask a waiter if he can take a picture of Per Simon (he knows the name, because a table has been reserved for him. Anette sticks a tape recorder under the table Per reserved. He enters the restaurant and the two girls quickly hide. The waiter takes Per to the table and then says that they sometimes like to take pictures of the tourists that visit their restaurant and asks if he can take a picture of him. He agrees and so the contestants have another picture.
Per meets with an Agent: Mr John Doe, who tells him instructions where to go. He leaves and the girls take the tape recorder and go back to the car and listen to it. The hear that he has to go to some kind of airport or something, where he will find the keys to a safe on top of a phone cell. They quickly drive to the place and get lucky, because Per gets stuck in traffic. Cathrine and Anette run inside and search the phone cells. They find the key and open the safe, which has the suitcase in it. They have succeeded and win 20,000 NOK for the suitcase and 20,000 NOK for 4 pictures of Per Simon.
But then it is tested whether Per Simon has recognized any of the people following him. Three strangers join the group and so there are seven people standing in a row. If Per can select one of the people following him, it will cost them 5,000 NOK.
He has seen Anette when she walked around the corner and almost walked straight into him and Cathrine, when she was standing aroudn the corner to take a picture of him. But both times it was just a split second he saw them, so will he recognize them? He has to choose one person he thinks he saw and he points at Cathrine. They lose 5,000 NOK and so have won 35,000 NOK in this challenge.

Midnight - night game
They can try to win an exemption in this game. They go to a hotel and are each put in a different hotel room. There are a lot of candles and one hourglass in the room. They have to get out of the room after 4 hours and 1 minute and can use the hourglass for it. The person that gets out of the room after the 4 hours and one minute first, will find a green feather in the corridor and wins the exemption. But if they leave the room earlier, they won't find anything in the corridor yet, because the feather is placed there at 4 hours and 1 minute.
They start off and all turn the hourglass at the same time. After a while, it's time to turn the hourglass again and they all do at the same time again. They have sticks and things to coutn the number of times they turned the hourglass.

After a long while, Anette thinks it's time to go and she slowly and gently walks out of the room, making sure no one else hears her. But she's 5 minutes too early... No exemption for her.

Time's up and the host places the green feather on a stand in the corridor. Who will be first out of their room? Someone gets out and takes the feather... it's Cathrine. She is sure to be in the final round now.

Day 22 - Tranquille
They go to Douglas Lake where they will have a tough challenge. They are tied together with a 10 m rope and have to do a long hike until they reach the finish, 22 km further away. Ingrid is first, attached to her on a 10 meter rope is Cathrine. 10 meters further from her is Anette and attached to her rope is Petter. In their backpacks, they are carrying 1.5 liter of water, which they can drink through a long straw, attached to the belt of the backpack on their shoulder. But they aren't allowed to drink too much water, because at the end, it will be measured how much is left. If they still have 4 liters of water left or something, they win 35,000 NOK.

It's a long hike and they can't really talk to each other in a normal way, because they are each 10 meters away from each other and so they have to yell.

After one hour and 17 minutes, they have walked 6 km. Anette is getting a bit tired and walks up the hill backwards to have a change in pace.
After 2 hours and 25 minutes, they have walked 10 kilometers and they stop a while to rest. They're all sitting down and Anette takes off her shoes and she has a big wound at the bottom of her foot. She gives up and can sit in the crew's truck.
Meanwhile, Ingrid and Petter are starting to argue. Probably because Petter doesn't take Anette's place and stays all the way at the back, 20 meters away from Cathrine now that Anette has given up.
They continue on walking. Anette has lots of drinks with her in the truck and starts sleeping.

They have walked for over 4 hours now and have done 17 kilometers. Time to rest again. Petter starts nagging about something again and is working on the nerves of Ingrid and Cathrine. But mostly on Ingrid's nerves, because she starts argueing and yelling back at him. Petter and her are discussing and calling each other names. They are more than 20 meters away from each other and Cathrine is standing in the middle, hearing everything, but not mingling in the discussion. After a while, Ingrid gets really angry and starts yelling and screaming her lungs out to Petter!

After 5 hours and 10 minutes, they have done 20 kilometers. They have almost reached the end, but Petter and Ingrid still seem to have an arguement. Ingrid is crying.

They continue again for the last 2 kilometers. Anette is eating a cheeseburger on the truck. Finally, after 5 hours and 42 minutes, they arrive. The water they had is poured in a bucket which is marked at 4 liters. One of the bottles is almost empty... but luckily the others are almost filled up to the top and they have more than 4 liters left. They win 35,000 NOK. I don't know why they also took Anette's bottle with it, since she gave up and all. Maybe they gave her a break, because of the big wound on her foot.

Suspicious in this episode
Petter isn't paying much attention in the Per Simon challenge.
Cathrine and Anette both were in Per's sight at some point.
Cathrine was stalling time when she was hiding on the roof.
Per could pick Cathrine out of the group of 7 people, costing them 5,000 NOK.
Anette gave up in the hike.
Ingrid and Petter had a heavy arguement during the hike, stalling time.
