The Dutch Mole
Episode 1
NOTE: I haven't seen the first episode, so there isn't much information.
The contestants
ARNOUD
Arnoud is 52 years old and a home helper. He says he's afraid of nothing.
DEBORAH
She's a 34 years old housewife and is scared of cockroaches.
FOKE
Foke is 56 and she's a nurse. She's scared of nothing.
JOHN
John's 37 and is a barkeeper. He too is afraid of nothing.
PETRA
She's 22 and is still studying. She's afraid of mice.
ROBIN
This 29 year old establishment manager is scared of dangerous animals and
traveling in an airplane.
SANDY
Sandy's 27, a basic physician and scared of rats.
WARNER
Warner's 30. He's an engineer, who's afraid of snakes and filthy spiders.
WILLY
Willy is a 44 years old teacher and afraid of nothing.
WILMIE
Wilmie, a 43 years old gold- and silversmith, is scared of snakes, rats, spiders
and short-sighted people.
And this is Angela Groothuizen, the show's host:
Day 1
One half of the group has to cover a distance of 25 kilometres
and the other half must cover a distance of 50 metres.
The 25 kilometres group: Robin, Sandy, Wilmie, Arnoud and Warner.
The 50 metres group: Willy, Petra, Deborah, John and Foke.
The 25
kilometres must be covered by jeep in two hours' time. It's on a path through a
jungle with a lot of sand and mud. Each contestant has to drive for at least one
kilometre and for 6 kilometre at most. The car gets stuck several times. Wilmie
says she can't drive. She hasn't got a driving licence. But she's obliged to
drive one km. So she drives very slowly, bumps against a tree and asks how she
must drive in reverse.
The 50 metres is at the Great Barrier Reef. They have to dive up on by on some signs with a word on it. So they can get a total of five signs. With these words they have to make a good Dutch sentence. John makes some kind of mistake (unfortunately I don't know what exactly). And I don't know either if the challenges were a success or not (SORRY).
DAY 2
The next day the group learns how to play the Australian music
instrument, the didgeridoo. They have to try to play a nice tune. I don't know
if it was a success...

John makes some kind of mistake in the diving challenge.
