The contestants have arrived by helicopter and the host (Ahmad
Rashad) meets up with them. He immediately tells them to divide into four strong
people and three who just want to hang out.

They then walk to a big
waterfall, not knowing what they will have to do. Near the waterfall is a zip
line. The three that will hang out will literally be hanging on that line. In
the water is a bag with a $ on it. So it's the money bag. The bag is connected
to a line. At the other end of the line is a big bucket, which is hanging in the
air.
The ones that hang out, are hanging from a line and have to get buckets (which
are placed on both sides of the waterfall), fill the bucket with water and then
throw the water into the big bucket. When there's enough water in the big
bucket, it will fall down, raising the money bag on the other end.
The people hanging out will be directed by the strong people. Two have to move
the person left and right by spinning a wheel, one has to lower the person or
bring him back up and the fourth one has a big overview and has to give everyone
instructions.
Kathy raises her hand:"I should be the weakest most useless
participant in this game."
Host:"We do not have that category."
Confession
Kathy:"I
was completely in shock! I thought this was going to be Celebrity Mole. With,
like, fakey, easy, celebrity half-games. I didn't know anybody would be getting
buckets from a waterfall. This is ridiculous!"
Stephen
goes first. Corbin and Erik are at the spinning wheel. Kim
has the joystick to move him up and down. Kathy is the spotter, giving
information to Corbin and Erik where to go.
Corbin has an idea:"We can put Stephen under water and hold him
there and keep asking if he's The Mole until he tells us!"
Time starts and Stephen is yelling to let him down. Kathy
repeats it. She can talk to the others via walkie-talkie. Kim is letting
him down using the joystick.

Kim:"I was the puppeteer for the beginning of the game. That was
good! I loved putting
Stephen
grabs a bucket and wants to fill it, but the pressure of the water makes him do
a somersault and lose the water in the bucket. He yells to bring him up and then
hangs upside down again because of the water pressure. His bucket is filled
after a while and he yells to go up. Kim moves the joystick into the
wrong direction and he goes down. He yells again and then she manages to get him
up.
When Stephen has reached the big bucket, Corbin says:"Alright,
let's get him back to the water now!" but Erik tells him to
wait, because Stephen hasn't emptied his smaller bucket yet.
Stephen pours the water into the big bucket and they bring him down
again. The money bag is already halfway up. Stephen yells to go down, but
he's going up.

Corbin:"Kim kept doing stuff that was suspicious to me. She had
a problem with the joystick. How hard is it to figure out? Am I the only one
around here with some brains?"
Stephen
tries to get a bucket. Corbin is yelling at him to take the purple
bucket, because that one is full already. Stephen takes another one
though and is filling it up. The others are suspicious about how long it takes
him to fill it up. They then quickly bring him to the big bucket again. Stephen
empties his smaller bucket and the money bag goes up into the air! It took them
3 minutes 46 seconds.
CC
Stephen:"That was tough! And let me tell you, when you're on
that thing, the hardest thing was fighting hypothermia and all I was trying to
do was keep my head above the water and try to focus on the air, you know what I
mean?"
They win $10,000. Frederique
goes next, but there's a little twist. In order to win the money, she now has to
beat Stephen's time. Also, the strong team has to change positions. They
all have to move one spot.
CC
Frederique:"Standing on the board and saying ok now I'm gonna
go, was nerve-wrecking. I started weighing things like I'm a mom now, should I
do this? So that wasn't good."
Kathy
and Corbin are now at the spinning wheel. Erik has the joystick
and Kim has to give directions.
Time starts. Frederique is let down into the waterfall. She can't reach a
bucket yet though and Stephen and Kim yell at the others to let
her go down. Kathy has troubles spinning the wheel with Corbin,
who yells at her to push.

Kathy:"I was a cranker and that was miserable, because Bersen
yelled at me and he turned into super veiny hockey dad! So that was really
freaky and then I felt sorry for his wife."
Frederique
is on some rocks next to the waterfall and grabs a bucket to fill it. They then
swing her to the big bucket, but she pours more than half of the bucket next to
the big bucket! She's taken back to the waterfall and yells:"Give me
some leadway! Give me some leadway!"
Corbin yells:"She's got it, ring it back!" So Frederique
is swung back, but she doesn't have a bucket yet and scream:"I don't
have it!!"

Frederique:"I definitely think that Corbin was sabotaging
something there. I said give me some leadway. There was a bucket full right
under me and I couldn't reach it!"
And so, time's up and they
don't win the money. Back on the ground, Frederique tells them to listen
closely when she says she wants to go down:"It was right under me, but I
couldn't reach it!"
Kathy:"So when you were saying leadway, did you want to go
down"
Frederique:"Down, because there was a full bucket underneath
me. I think some of you were thinking why doesn't she get the bucket in front of
her, but the one below me was full. So I couldn't get to that one and needed
leadway."
Michael is last. He still has to beat Stephen's time to win
extra money. The strong team members have the rotate positions once more.
CC
Michael:"What I was experiencing was, you know, fear. I did have
a question about doing it because I had a conversation earlier with my wife
about doing certain stunts. I was given very specific orders. So I was looking
around thinking 'Am I going to get in trouble doing this? Nah... it looks fine,
I have to do this."
Kim
and Erik are now at the spinning wheel, Kathy has the joystick and
Corbin gives directions. Kathy lets Michael down. She says
she can't hear Corbin.
Michael gets a blue bucket and fills it up. He's taken to the big bucket
and pours the water in. Immediately he's taken back to the waterfall, but taken
out of it quickly after and he hasn't got a bucket yet. So he's taken back in,
fills a bucket, empties it in the big bucket and the money bag goes up! It only
took him 2 minutes and 22 seconds! They win $20,000 in this challenge!
The host then hands over
their journals, where they can write down notes and observations. They all start
writing in it immediately.

Kim:"My strategy for now is intuition and observation. I've been
taking notes and it's hard because you don’t know what to take notes on!
Particularly because the structure of the game is you play the quiz... and
it’s on you whether you stay or not."
Michael:"My suspicions shifted to Erik, because he was too
quiet. And I wrote it in my journal, you know 'Erik is too quiet.' "
Corbin:"Kathy's kind of becoming my least favorite player.
Either she's The Mole or she just doesn't care. I'm not getting enough out of
her."

Ranch
At Kahua
Ranch, they start getting to know each other a little better and talk about
their most embarrassing moments (not spontaneous, the host asks about it).
Frederique:"I was in class and trying to be cool and I had to
sneeze really loud and I farted at the same time."
CC
Corbin:"Fred sort of sat back and talked about farting. I can
only imagine how delicious that would have been to be sitting just in front of
her."
Stephen
tells about his embarrassing moment:"I was being dropped off by my
girlfriend in high school and we were at my driveway. And I thought it was late
and I had convinced this lady to eh... you know...give me a very nice sending
off, so to speak. And my sister Jane happened to look out the front window there
and she saw me kind of sitting there alone in the car. And I don't know why she
acted the way she did, she basically pulled me out of the car and beat me up! In
front of my girlfriend. Of course all my brothers gave me a high five, you know
what I'm saying?!!"
Then Kathy tells about her moment:"I was in

laughing.
They go to the next
challenge, all dressed in black trousers and a Hawaiian shirt.

Kim:"There was nothing but joy coming over that hill. We were
like 'What's gonna go down!' and we were laughing just seeing Ahmad in the
biggest hat I have ever seen! The hat was as big as
They're going to play Baa
Baa Black Jack... A version of blackjack, but the cards are replaced by a live
deck of sheep. The sheep have flags on their bodies with numbers and hearts,
diamonds, etc...
First they have to split into three teams of two. Everyone searches a partner,
except for Stephen, who's just hanging on the fence. So he's the one left
out and he won't be playing.

Erik:"When Ahmad said to pair up in groups of two, it didn't
occur to me that there were seven people and one would be left out. And so I
turned to Frederique. But Stephen was just withdrawn. He never even tried to
join a partner. I find that a little suspicious."

The host will pick two
cards. The teams have to beat his hand by catching two sheep in the pen that has
a higher value. Each team that succeeds, wins them $5,000.
Stephen helps picking the cards. The first card is a 3 and the next is a
Jack, worth 10. So the host has 13 and the contestants have to get a higher
score by catching two sheep in 3 minutes.
Erik gets a sheep with a 9. Corbin falls over and next Erik
falls to, knocking his head against the wooden fence.
CC
Michael:"Corbin is falling and Erik is literally diving. Kathy
is spinning and talking to herself and having... some sort of wonder woman
moment."
Kim
is a bit scared of the sheep. Especially when they suddenly jump up high.
Erik catches an 8 with the help of Corbin. Erik & Frederique
now have a total of 17. But the others still have nothing.
Corbin catches a 10. They have 10 seconds left when he catches another
sheep. He wants to put it in the pen, Kim opens the fence to let him put
it in but then he falls and at the same time, the other sheep of 10 escapes from
the pen! Corbin to Kim:"You're The Mole!"
Corbin is wounded.
CC
Corbin:"I suspected that Kim was The Mole. It was only
reaffirmed when she let one out. I'm not convinced that was a real
accident."
Kim:"I really didn't mean to let the sheep out. I couldn't
control the sheep, what was I gonna do? I wasn't going to touch it!"
Michael:"I looked at Kathy at one point and she was literally
herding nothing! She was herding mosquitoes for all I care. She was just
standing there."
Erik
and Frederique are the only ones who beat the host's hand and they win
$5,000 for the pot. Because they were the best shepherds, they get a second
chance to win money for the pot. If they can beat the next hand, they win
$10,000.
The host pulls a 6 and a 5, making 11. That should be easy to beat.
Erik grabs a 10 and puts it in the pen with Frederique's help.

Corbin:"I enjoyed watching two of the most beautiful people on
the planet of the earth chasing sheep! It actually made my arm feel
better!"
A sheep jumps up and rams Erik,
but he keeps on going and puts an 8 in the pen, making 18. They win an
additional $10,000, making the total $35,000.
CC
Erik:"I guess my strategy coming into the game was make people
think I am The Mole, because then when they're making the quiz, they're getting
more questions wrong and I will have a higher score than them. But... as I was
doing the sheep... black jack, I found myself doing my best too much, so I guess
my strategy is changing a little."
The host has a little
twist for the person that was left out: Stephen. Another sheep is let
loose among the other sheep. It has the logo of The Mole on its back. If Stephen
can get that sheep into a pen in 3 minutes, he can double the money. And he will
also win an exemption! However, if he fails, he'll lose all the money they won
in this challenge and he won't get an exemption.

Stephen:"What was the most interesting part of that moment of
decision was scanning the faces of all the other players while I was pondering
of what to do. Because, if I don't do it, I could be The Mole. But what I like
is if I do do it, I still could be The Mole! When I was singled out and I was up
with Ahmad, I thought I would be asked to participate with the sheep, but not
for ALL the money. And not for an exemption. So for me it was powerful. It was
interesting."
He decides to do it. Time
starts, and he begins by closing all three fences of the pens. After a minute,
he corners the Mole sheep and grabs it. Then he takes it back to the pen, where
he has to open the fence again, which he closed earlier on. But he succeeds,
doubles the money and wins an exemption! The pot is up to $50,000.
On the way back to the
hotel, the contestants are suspicious about Stephen's exemption. In one
car (in which Erik, Michael, Kim and Kathy are
sitting), they are talking about it:
Kathy:"He really did look out the way that he was able to get an
exemption at something he was truly good at."
Michael:"And it wasn't chance, because I remember his body
language. He never turned around to form a team with anyone."

Michael:"I don't remember hearing much about the
In the other car (Stephen,
Corbin and Frederique) Stephen asks the other two:"Who's
The Mole?"
Corbin:"I have a pretty good idea."
Stephen:"Nobody in this vehicle is The Mole!"
Corbin:"That's a coalition!"
Stephen:"What do you think about that? Show me how big your
b***s are, kids! Tell me, would you agree with that."
Both Corbin and Frederique agree to it.
In the first car: Erik:"So
did anyone seem to be intentionally slacking today?"
The others laugh. Kim:"Everyone except you!" Kathy:"Everyone,
BUT you, yeah... so..." Kim:"Which is also very
suspect!"
Back in the other car: Stephen:"Something
very strange happened. Right when we first started, someone came up to me and
said 'Call me in my room tonight!' "

Kathy:"I tried to get
Stephen:"Because
she, quote 'Had to talk to me.' "
Kathy:"And I swear to God I think he thought I was going to
have sex with him!"
Stephen:"It wasn't what she said, it was how she said
it!"
Kathy:"He was like 'Sure babe, as long as you bring
protection!' "
In the car: Stephen:"Unfortunately
the other person doesn't have so much brain!" (laughs)

Kathy:"A coalition absolutely helps in this game. But on the
other hand, the chances of getting into a coalition with The Mole are one in
five. Especially today, when
Dinner
table
That night,
before the quiz, the conversation at dinner table quickly turns to the identity
of The Mole...
Michael:"I mean, you know, it's nothing personal if you're The
Mole. It's not like we're not gonna like them... well except for Kathy!"
Kathy:"No I'm... it's personal! Ok?! Whoever's The Mole is on
my list and I'm going to hate you forever!"

Kim:"It's scary not knowing what's next and what's gonna happen.
In addition to who's The Mole!"
Kim:"You
know what my strategy is? Eeny meeny miny.... Mole!"
Stephen:"Has anyone noticed how quiet Erik has been?"
Kim:"Noticed? It's all we talk about!"
Stephen:"Why is Erik so conservative all day? And then so
spunky around sheep?"

his character is the super crazy tense guy. I could be totally screwed, because
I really don't think Bernsen is The Mole and yet he could absolutely be The
Mole!"

Michael:"Right of the bat I thought Kathy was acting reserved in
a way that I don't recall her ever being and I took that as maybe she was
nervous because she's The Mole and doesn't want to say the wrong things."

disconcerting. It's sorta like life. Just when you think you have it figured

Suspicious in this episode

Stephen wasn't with the group when they were about to tell the most
embarrassing moment stories. Was he getting instructions on how to sabotage?
