Belgian Mole (part 1)

Episode 1

The contestants
Dimi, 24 years old, creative therapist
Reggy, 37, pub owner
Guy, 41, business manager
Anke, 22, photographer
Moniek, 43, balloonist
Magda, 40, travel guide
Mon, 60, retired teacher
Belle, 31, singer
Sylvie, 24, romanist
Hugo, 43, personnel manager

And this is the show's host, Michiel:

Challenge 1
The group travels to Valence, France, where they first meet. They don't know why they are there, but it soon becomes clear that they have to do different challenges to win money and that one of them would try to sabotage those challenges. The others have to find out who that is.
For the first challenge, Michiel asks two people who have a good taste and one of them has to know French. Hugo says that thay don't need to discuss that, and that they will take the person who said that the wine they drank wasn't good. "And since we have a 'Frenchwoman' among us, the choice is quickly made." So he suggests Guy and Sylvie. But then Magda asks if everyone agrees, because she feels they should be democratic. Everyone agrees and so Guy and Sylvie drive to an unknown destination. They have to taste wine and make a tour through the vintages. At the end of the day, they will have to taste wine and select the wine they haven't tasted that day. Meanwhile the others have to pack their luggage again. The each get a backpack, in which they have to put the necessary things. They also have to re-pack Guy's and Sylvie's luggage.

Challenge 2
The others have to find out where Guy and Sylvie are. They have to divide themselves in three groups. The groups are:
1) Magda, Belle and Dimi
2) Reggy, Moniek and Anke
3) Hugo and Mon
They get a emitter which signals where Guy and Sylvie are, because they have a transmitter. Each group is dropped somewhere in the region. They scan the place. After a while Magda finds out that Dimi's emitter is on the wrong frequence. Belle asks him if he ever cheats, but Dimi says he never does.
Meanwhile Hugo and Mon find Guy and Sylvie. A few moments later they leave again, because Guy and Sylvie still have to taste wine. Hugo says to Mon not to tell anyone they've Guy and Sylvie. He wants to check the two other group's emitters, before telling anything. So the others arrive and they ask if they found them. They say they haven't and Hugo checks the emitters. After that he suddenly says he and Mon did find them. Magda gets confused and suspicious "That's not possible. You just said you didn't find them." But eventually everybody is glad, because they have won their first challenge. They get 100.000 BEF.

The End of Challenge 1
At the end of the day, Guy and Sylvie have to taste 6 kinds of wine and they have to pick the wine out, they haven't tasted that day. They doubt between bottle 1 and 2. Finally they go for bottle 1. But it's the third bottle. So they haven't won the challenge. 50.000 BEF poorer and 2 suspects richer.

First Suspicions
That evening the contestants have to get in front of the camera in private and tell who they think is the Mole.
Magda thinks it's Hugo. "He says he knows people of VRT (the channel this show is on)."
Hugo thinks it's Dimi.
Dimi thinks it's Belle. "Because of the emitter."
Belle can't think about anyone yet. She only knows who's NOT the Mole and she carries on like that.
Moniek also suspects Belle.
Mon thinks about Dimi. "He told me he had let the two women drive around useless. So he tries to sabotage."
Anke first says Hugo, then Mon and then claims she doesn't know.
Reggy thinks it's Anke. "When we arrived, Anke stood there, whistling, while every body else was nervous. I don't think I will change my mind, Anke is The Mole."

Challenge 3
Michiel needs 2 people who don't have a driving licence. That's Dimi and Anke. They have to learn how to drive in an hour and they can choose their instructors. Dimi chooses Magda and Anke chooses Mon. They also have to select two scouts, who have to explore the route they have to drive. that's Reggy and Moniek. So Mon has to learn Anke how to drive. He tries to explain how the gearbox works but gets it all wrong. Anke knows it better than he does, and she has never driven a car...
Dimi and Anke have to drive on a route, which has a lot of obstacles. Reggy and Moniek arrive and they explain what the obstacles are. A tree on the road, a small passage, driving up a hill in reverse and finally park the car. Anke panics because she only has 2 minutes left to learn how to park a car. They both get 35 minutes to cover the route. So the faster the first one is, the more time there is for the second. Dimi goes first and he does it very well. He only needs 9 minutes and 46 seconds. So Anke still has 25 minutes and 14 seconds. But she needs more time than Dimi. She bumps against a tree. At the end she has 9 minutes to park the car. But she can't do it. It goes wrong every time. It takes her 5 minutes to finally park the car and win the challenge (150.000 BEF).

Suspicions
Again they say who they suspect:
Reggy:"I don't trust Dimi."
Dimi:"I want to stay at least for 3 episodes."
Magda:"It can also be Sylvie."
Sylvie:"Everybody can be the Mole. Everybody suspects evrybody."
Guy:"It can also be Hugo."
Hugo:"I'm not the Mole."
Moniek:"Belle, because she can be so naive."
Belle:"I think the Mole has to be sympathetic... But everyone is sympathetic."
Mon:"Is Belle really like that? Or does she play a game?"
Anke:"Hugo or Mon... or Magda... no, Mon... or Hugo... I don't know."

suspicious for the viewers:
Hugo is very authoritative. (He selects the contestants who have to do the wine tasting challenge. And he checks the emitters before telling the others they've found Guy and Sylvie)
Magda tries to be very kind to everyone. (When re-packing Guy's luggage, she asks if someone has got some space in their backpack, because Guy has a lot of costumes. She also asks if everyone agrees with Hugo's opinion.)
The emitter of Magda, Dimi and Belle is on the wrong frequency.
Guy and Sylvie couldn't guess the correct bottle of wine.
Mon explains the working of the gearbox wrongly.

The Execution
That night everybody gets 20 questions about the Mole. The one who knows the least, has to leave immediately. The Mole never has to leave, because he/she knows the answers of course. If it is a draw, the person who was the slowest has to go. Here are some of the questions:
Is the Mole a man or a woman?
Does the Mole smoke?
How many children does the Mole have?
In which group was the Mole in the group of the challenge with the driving lessons?
Who was the roommate of the Mole in the Château Pizay?
Does the Mole wear a ring?

It's the moment of truth. Everyone has to come together. Michiel will type every contestant's name on the computer. If that person gets a green screen he/she can stay.
But if it's red he/she has to leave...

And the person that has to go is...

DIMI

Dimi is the first victim of the Mole. He didn't know who the Mole was. He has to leave immediately.
