'Who is the Mole?' is a great show, which has its roots in Belgium. In 1999 the first series of 'Who is the Mole?' started in Belgium. It was a great success. A lot of other countries soon followed, like Holland, Australia, Germany, Sweden, the USA, Poland, Britain, New Zealand, Israel, Catalonia (Spain) and Italy. Meanwhile there have already been second, third and fourth editions in several countries.

But what is it all about? A certain number of people go on a journey. They have to do different challenges to win money. But there is a Mole among those people, who tries to sabotage the challenges. The others have to find out who the Mole is. And so do the viewers, because no one knows the identity of the Mole, except for the Mole itself and the production crew. Only the contestant who knows the most about the Mole wins the money.

Every series of 'De Mol' had been nominated each time for best tv show of that particular year, but this is the first time they actually won the award. The show got rewarded because of the way the contestants get treated with respect and are portrayed respectfully. Other reality-tv shows don't always do that.
