I’m Robbie Urquhart; I was born and bred in Newcastle and have been playing locally as a Soloist for eight years. Last year I completed a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Teaching with a double major in Guitar and Computer Technology. Apart from my current Soloist work and band The Rattle Snakes, I am also a High School Music teacher. I love the 50’s – 60’s Rock ‘n’ Roll era and was raised on Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly ect. Most of the music I play covers this era as well as many favorites from the 70’s to now.
Writing songs and music is something I enjoy doing and am currently working on a new solo EP. Some original songs I have written myself or co-written are:
The Rattle Snakes are a new Rockabilly band, made up of Robbie (Vocals/Guitar), Luke (Double Bass) and Trev (Drums). See The Rattle Snakes page for more info and pictures of the guys.
