| This was the very first photo that we saw of Shaun. On March 8, 2000 the phone rang around 2:00 p.m. and it was Evie from New Hope Adoptions International. She told us that she had good news....we got our referral! It was a boy!! His Korean name was Kyung Tae and he was 3 1/2 months old. Evie said she would stay open later so that we could drive to the office and pick up the referral packet and photos. This one was on top. It was love at first sight. |
| This is Shaun on his first birthday. He was wearing the traditional first birthday Hanbok that we purchased in Seoul. (That's a WHOLE nother story in itself :) To celebrate his birthday we had a blending of a Korean and an American traditional birthday...you know cake, ice cream, presents, a Korean food buffet and of course a tol ceremony. Shaun chose a book, which was one of his favorite things, then and now. |

| This photo was taken during a camping trip we took in June. Shaun just loves to go camping! He likes to stay up late and sit around the fire with us and make s'mores and hot dogs. He also likes to ride his bike all over the campground. |
| Shaun is playing with archway building blocks at a nearby science museum we went to in October 2002. He really enjoyed all the exhibits there. |
