| Wiley, our multi-colored Pomeranian, has been in our family for 10 years now, and he is definitely our first "baby". We are not sure exactly how old he is, since we got him when he was already full grown. He is so gentle with our kids, and is very protective of them. When we first brought Shaun home from Korea, he had a rough time adjusting. The first I put a comforter on the floor of his room and layed with him. He cried all night long fighting sleep and missing his foster mother. Wiley, came right in, layed beside Shaun and gave him a big lick on the cheek to get him to stop crying. It quieted him for a moment anyway! One thing The kids have learned is that Wiley doesn't like them to take his afghan! He is a quirky little dog, and will wrestle them for this. When we first got him, we noticed he kept dragging our afghan off of the couch and sucking on it. Finally, we just gave him one of his own to keep on the floor. It's like his security blanket. I have 2 that I trade off when one is being washed, otherwise he paces the floor, and tries to take our good one off of the couch. I think he might need some doggie Prozac!!! :0) | ||||||||||||||||

| We weren't sure how Rachael would react to Wiley since she probably had not been around dogs in her foster family. We didn't have to worry, because she loved him from day one! They have been best buddies ever since! (It may have helped that Rachael likes to "share" with Wiley!!! | ||||||||||||||||
