     Farm Photos

In the fall of 2004, the wife and I decided to move out of the city before it was turned into a nuclear wasteland.  I figured that it would probably be easier to fend off the mutants attacking than try and get rid of radiation poisoning.  Anyway, here are some photos of our farm.  Scroll down the page to see all the pictures.

Red wagon in front of flower bed

When I was a little kid, I asked my parents for a little red wagon.  My parents told me to "get stuffed" so I grew up demented because of it.  Well... I waited many years and I had to build my own wagon but damn it hauls a lot of firewood.

Hummingbird at feeder

Everywhere in nature you find "the mooch".  In this case it is a hummingbird drinking from a feeder.  The wife took this picture from the deck in front of the house looking over the field that leads down to the river valley.

House, lawn, pump house, barn

My punishment in life seems to be having to mow more grass than a football stadium.   At least I get a great view as I do it.  You are looking at a portion of our front yard.  The main house's front deck is on the left.  The main vegetable garden is on the far right.  Straight ahead is the pump house and the barn.

Main house and garage

This is a view of the house on the west side.  Notice the nice double car garage?   I bet you're wondering why my truck is parked outside if I have a nice double car garage.  It is because my wife is a pack-rat.

Sunset

We have the most beautiful sunsets.  There doesn't seem to be too many days that pass by that we don't stop and admire the colors of the sky as the sun goes down.   Unless it is raining.  Then we just stay inside and fight.
