THE STORY SO FAR...

The Ricochet Rifle Club (RRC) is looking for new members. The RRC was formed as a full-bore target rifle club in 1933 and has stood the test of time. From its light-hearted name and beginnings, it has grown into a serious rifle club with a good reputation and interested exclusively in target shooting as a safe sport.

OUR AIM IS PRECISE ENJOYMENT

Our club members range from International downwards; most of us are competent without being fanatical. We have been second in the National Club championship (once!), and have toured Australia (once!). It is a friendly club whose meetings allow plenty of fun (always!) and opportunity for being coached - expert advice is always available. It doesn't matter what standard new members are, they will be very welcome.

        R.M.Stevens, GM
The president of the RRC is a former Queen's Prize winner, we have three international shots, and several members shoot or coach for their counties. The RRC also has experience both in hand-loading ammunition and the competitive shooting of Historic Arms.

WHERE WE SHOOT

Our members live in the South of England within reasonable driving time of the Bisley ranges, which are near Guildford, Surrey. Most of our shooting is done there, but we also shoot at Oxfordshire Rifle Association meetings at the Otmoor range near Oxford, and at other county shoots.

If you live in Southern England, from London in the East to Bristol in the West, you will find RRC members at shooting meetings within a reasonable distance of you.

WHAT RRC CAN DO FOR YOU

* Help anyone who wishes to continue with their full-bore shooting. We do not have the facilities to train someone to shoot from scratch, but we welcome anyone who has done some small-bore or full-bore shooting in the past. With help from the RRC members your shooting skills will improve.

* If you have been a member of a CCF or ATC shooting club then note that while students are in full-time education they can be members of the RRC free of charge. The RRC will send you notices of RRC events and the annual newsletter. Students may like to have a shoot with us during the vacations. We can loan all the equipment and a rifle for the day, and provide coaching.

* The RRC is keen to encourage young shooters and we have a Student Fund for subsidising shoots and keeping the cost down.
