The NiC Team

17.02.04

Sorry for the long time without updates. At the moment Frankmd is making a new and improved site which will be uploaded as soon as it is completed (soon we hope ;) )

31.12.03 - Forum

Thanks to Rippance we now have a new, proper forum. It can be found here

5.12.03 - New member announcement

We welcome Rippance to the team. Often regarded as one of the best RB4 drivers, he is our first dedicated RB4 drivers and brings with him a few World Records.

21.11.03 - New member announcement

We welcome Ramla to the team. A fast turbo driver who has recently switched from mouse to wheel. With fast times and good experience on all tracks, Ramla is the turbo driver we have been looking for.

19.11.03 - LFS World Championships

The first round of qualification is now over!
Rob is the only member participating in the event and so the whole team wishes him luck. He came in the top5 in his pool for the first qualification event and so is through to the next.
The races of this next round will be on FernBay Black. The Race procedure has changed too, instead of 2 6lap races, there will be 3 4lap races and so plenty of opportunities to make up lost places.

Dedicated server now up
ZeroDexter has managed to setup a dedicated host for the team. It is called NiC Team Server and should be great for races, with 15 slots and running on a 100bit line we hope that everyone will enjoy racing there. The server is open to the public all of the time except on Friday evening for a few hours for team training.

17.11.03 - New member announcement

A good friend of co-founder MrAss, Frankmd has shown interest in joining the team for a while, today we decided to let him join. An FXO driver with lots of experience on South City he will be a good benefit to the team.

Endurance League

The last race of the season was on Tuesday. In Division A tuke came 6th, closely behind ACR macEST. In Division B Tunari wasn't very happy, and so quit the race fairly early on. In Divsion B both Oxygene and Rob competed well. After taking 2nd and 3rd positions respectively on the grid they held these positions for the whole race and so both got a top3 finish. Overall in the championship NiC1 (Oxygene and Rob) came 8th with 350 points, and NiC2 (Tunari and tuke) coming 3rd with 510 points. The whole results table for both teams and drivers can be found here

New member announcement

ZeroDexter recently asked to join the team, and after a while of looking up times and information etc the team eventually came to a decision to let him join. He is a fast fxo driver who has quickly settled into the team. He has signed up for the Original League, and as he will be the only NiC member in the league we all wish him luck and hope that he does well and represents NiC. His online and offline laptimes can be seen here

Endurance League

28.10.03

Todays Endurance League races went well for the team. Rob did manage to start but got disconnected after 14 laps when he was in second place and beginning to gain on the leader. Despite this he still got 60 points for starting. All other members completed the race, tuke came 4th in Division A, Tunari came 2nd in Division B, and Oxygene came 2nd in Division D. So overall a good performance by the team, and NiC2 (tuke and Tunari) are now 3rd in the championship, 35 points behind the leaders Boomerang Rapido and 20 points behind SLRT in 2nd place. They are currently ahead of both Afri-Cola Racing teams, and at the current rate the results will do well to show that NiC can cut it in amongst the better known teams. NiC1 with Rob and Oxygene are currently 9th in the championship. If Rob's connection holds up for the next race then they should move up the leaderboard as Rob is the fastest in Division C on South City Reverse, while Oxygene isn't much off of Rob's pace either.

14.10.03

We currently have 2 teams participating in the Endurance League. Rob and Oxygene are team 1, while Tunari and Tuke are team 2. Both Rob and Oxygene were in division C for the first race, while Tunari was in division B, and tuke in A. Tuke got disconnected from the host and so did not finish the race, Tunari won Division B. In Division C Oxygene came third, while Rob did not start the race due to a connection loss. Overall team 2 are in 4th place, behind SLRT,Boomerang Rapido and Afri-Cola Racing Team 1, and team 1 are in 13th place, however they hope to move up when Rob races.

09.10.03 - Apololgy and New member.

Sorry about the long lack of updates, I have been very busy with lots of schoolwork and so have not had much time to update the page. I have a very happy announcement to make though - we have another new member: tuke, who is a very fast LX driver. So a very warm welcome to tuke.

New member - Tunari

After posting on the lfs forum, Tunari said he was interested, and eventually (couple of mins) he was in the team. Our 2 newest members Tunari and Oxygene are the fastest, and both very good even when compared with WR holders (Tunari has WRs on most Fern Bay tracks in LX4, and is less then 1 second off Jeep and Limiter with GT Turbo on most Fern Bay layouts.

Forum now up, click here to go to it

15.08.03  New Member - Oxygene

I raced Oxygene last week and was very impressed with his speed, so I asked him if he would like to join. Today he asked if he could join, and so here he is. He is the fastest person on the team, and not far off the pace of the fastest racers out there. Gradually the team is getting bigger and faster overall, with the addition of members like Oxygene.
