Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004
Took some games to my local Gamestation for trade in, intending to buy the new Dredd vs. Death game. Surprisingly, the guy behind the counter advised me against buying it, and gave reasons why. Apparently it's a bit of a disappointment, bad graphics, too easy, and so on. Left me in a quandry though. What game to get instead. Had a vague look at the new Hunter: Wayward, but looked too much like the XBox original to be worth the forty quid price tag. Fire Warrior looks interesting, but I've heard bad things, so will wait for rental on that.
Finally settled on the new Tiger Woods, which was greeted by an 'Excellent choice' from the Gamestation staff (I get along pretty well with most of them, they seem to have similar tastes to me). Now, Woody bought the 2003 version of this game, and it hooked everyone in the house. I was expecting Woody to buy the latest version, but he's been a bit strapped, and as I needed a game, I got it. Decided on the PS2 version instead of PC (Which was 10 pounds cheaper) so that it could be played with the magic of sharing (Everybody has access to a PS2 in our house, but not everyone has a good PC).

Well,  it's 2003 with a slightly slicker feel. The game itself is identical, and the realtime swing system is really nice, gives you the true feel of golf without the old video game standby of the power bar. New for 2004 is a create-a-golfer mode, and I made a guy looks pretty much like me. Also is a 10 year season mode, and the Pro Shop now contains not just clubs and balls, but also hats, shirts, watches, shoes, the whole outfit.

Just like 2003, the game is lots of fun. I heartily recommend it, even if you don't like golf (I certainly don't, I go by Oscar Wilde, Golf is a good walk spoiled), because the video game is just great.
