Well, the last few days have been just horrible. Had a flu jab last week, and promptly caught flu, like I always do. Then to top it off, when I get over my mini flu, I catch it again because a proper set has started the rounds in my house, and got me while weakened from the last. Euchh. Still feeling pretty bad, but dragged myself to my course. Have to see if I feel better later,  or might head gome again.

Haven't been able to gain access, hence no journal entries until now. Last Weds I was at my IT practitioner course, but didn't really get much done. Have to re-write a pamphlet on Health and Safety in the workplace. Would have finished but got hit ill on the thursday. Have noticed something quite amusing. Turns out some pages of this journal aren't viewable from this course, makes it hard for me to check them properly outside the HTML tool, but it's funny. A course supposed to help teach me IT skills, and it's silly web blocker software prevents me accessing my own website. Irony I think.

Friday we had Oriental D&D. Joe ran a pretty nasty adventure where kids were being kidnapped from Alvin's community, the river shanties. Check out the game section for details on people's characters btw. Anyhow, Alvin spots a commotion going on and heads over to find out, and another kid has fallen into the water. Now, instead of immediately calling out for help from the rest of the party (Especially me, who can breathe underwater), Alvin just watches while they fish around, and only feels fit to tell us after about 5 minutes of pootling around. Anyhow, I dive in, and with the help of a friendly catfish (I can also speak to fish) found out the kid had been taken into a series of caves set into the bank. Well, we all head into these caves, which are swimmable through for the rest of the party, and encounter a series of undead. Seems all the kids have been turned into ghouls, a happy little family for an evil shaman. Needless to say, we kick their arses, but it was a little touch and go there for a while. Most people ended up paralysed at some point. Alvin near kills himself because he's cast Shield Other, meaning he takes half my hits (And I have a lot of hits and charge into fights). He ends up using all his healing on himself, including several potions and scrolls. Just hope he learns that Woody is the better recipient of that spell. The guy really is beginning to drag the party down though. He's an AWFUL roleplayer.

Sunday we played the Forest campaign, which was lots of fun (No Alvin to spoil that game). We're headed through the forest and call by a small town, only to find it barricaded and we're not welcome. Well, we camp outside the walls only for Joe to get handed a baby during his watch. Ian also kidnaps one of the wall guards, who we then find out has a really nasty plague. So, being the healer of the party, I quarantine those who have it and those who don't, and set about an intensive Remove Disease, but it's pretty nasty because the disease resists my spells. We save the baby, Woody, Joe and Rich, but everyone else starts to be affected, Ian worst of all. I get the disease, despite it being impossible for me to catch unless it's a targetted spell, and nearly die but my wild shape purges it from my body. Grant checks out the town to discover the new mayor is starting a evil cult, so we storm the town and kill her. Evil tentacled horror (But not cthuloid) that she is, she shields herself with small kids, but we blast her with area effect spells anyway (Hurrah for a mostly neutral party). We manage to save about 6 of the 20 odd kids though, and after a moral argument about whether to kill them or heal them of the disease, we decide to take them to some forest nomads.

Orc tonight, I think Rich is running it, followup to his previous where we massacred a party of adventurers. Have to make a new character as my last one died last session. Hoping to do a Minotaur cleric type, depending on whether I can get 6th level like the rest of the party or not (I did die fighting something none of us had any chance to survive, so I think I deserve to not be penalised xp for dying).

Been playing a fair few video games recently too. See my reviews for them.
