Well, here it all begins, on a cloudy day when I'm at my course, bored stupid and as a result, feeling all tired. Marvelous course this. Blah. I'm a computer technician of three years experience, but with no pieces of paper to prove I know what I know. It's ridiculous. So, in order to try and get a job, I'm out to get those much needed pieces of paper. But it's so boring. The Jobcentre sends me on these 4-5 month long courses that I could finish in a week, and then I get left with nothing to do at them. Been spending most of my time writing a fairly ambitious campaign for Star Wars: d20 Roleplaying Game, but now I have this project to keep me occupied. Problem is, my current course, City and Guilds IT Practicioner, is on Wednesdays and Thurdays, but the rest of the week I'm stuck in another office, the North East Chamber of Commerce, from 9 till 4 doing nothing, because this isn;t the place my course is at. It's foolish, and I'm here for 24 more weeks. It's not even as if I can do another course while here. I have the ECDL they do, and I'm at night school to gain CLAIT +, the next level up from the CLAIT they offer here.
Hence, this webpage to relieve my boredom. On here I intend to have this journal, though I'm pretty unreliable when it comes to updating stuff, and am very unlikely to post anything if the day is boring, so it'll be fairly intermittent. I'll also be adding pages to do with games I'm currently playing, giving my opinion on them in a kind of ad hoc review.
I do play a lot of games, and I'd really like to be at home right now saving the earth from Sectoid's right now (UFO Aftermath), but if I don't come here, my dole gets stopped. Anyhow, my games 'reviews' will be from the systems I can play. These will be PC, Playstation 2, X-Box, Tabletop Roleplaying Games, and Live Action Role Playing. I may also add other pages as and when I feel the need. Probably add a bit on my Lao-Gar Kung Fu once I get more into it.
I also intend to have rant's. Mostly they're likely to be here in the journal, but if it's something I get really worked up about, it may deserve it's own page.
