| Episode 2: Day of the Dino Part II First Aired: 2-14-2004 Summary: Underground, Conner and Ethan are talking to Tommy about the situation. Tommy tells them about how he helped create the Tyrannodrones. Eventually, Conner shows Tommy his gem. On Mesogog�s island, Kira wakes up to hear Mesogog talking to her. He tells her he wants her gem, but she tells him she gave it to Conner and Ethan. Mesogog disappears and Elsa shows up. Underground, Tommy tells Conner and Ethan that he�ll get Kira and turns to leave, but Conner uses his speed to get in front of Tommy and stops him to make him take them with him. Back on the island, Kira states that Elsa reminds her of someone, but she doesn�t have time to figure out who, as they quickly begin to fight. Kira does well until Zeltrax shows up with some Tyrannodrones. Using her scream, Kira knocks them down, runs and makes it to a hallway. She notices a portal in the hallway and it transports her out after she touches it. Tommy, Conner, and Ethan are driving along in Tommy�s Jeep talking. Tommy tells them about the time he worked with Dr. Anton Mercer to combine dino DNA with technology but strangely he disapeared before Mesogog destroyed their lab. At a stop sign, Kira's portal makes her fall onto the hood of the car. They help her off, just in time for Zeltrax and some Tyrannodrones appear soon after. They fight and eventually the four have the upper hand. Tommy tells Zeltrax to tell his master that �Dr. Oliver is back.� With that Zeltrax leaves. The four do as well. On his island, Mesogog talks about releasing his bio zords and the arial attack he wants Zeltrax to do. In class Cassidy tries to get info from Kira about what happened, but Kira isn�t talking. Soon after, Tommy arrives in class, just in time for an earthquake and the sky to go black. Mesogog has released the Bio Zords. Devin comes to get Cassidy to tell her about the "mechanical dinosaurs" and the two leave. Conner, Ethan, and Kira approach Tommy and he takes them with him as the school is being evacuated. Tommy takes them to the underground HQ, and tells them he has something for them. Ethan prepares to leave, but Tommy stops him. He opens a box that contains the three dino morphers and tells them that the gems have bonded with them. They each take one and leave. Tommy drives them to where the Bio Zords are. Zeltax and the Tyrannodrones show up and the three morph. At Tommy's urging the rangers call their weapons forth from their belts. Tyranno staff for red (Conner), ptera grips for yellow (Kira), and tricera shield for blue (Ethan). Using the weapons they quickly dispatch of the Tryannodrones and form the Z-Rex Blaster at Tommy�s command to drive Zeltrax away. They quickly tame the bio zords to make them theirs. In the sky a space ship, helmed by Zeltrax, attacks the city. The rangers form their megazord at Tommy�s command and use the Dino Drill attack to attack the ship�s weak point, thereby destroying it. On his island Mesogog punishes Elsa and Zeltrax for losing. In their HQ, Tommy turns the morphers into bracelets, which the three can use to communicate with each other and Tommy. When asked by Ethan if Mesogog was going to stick around, Tommy replies, they always do. My Thoughts: I think this episode was better than part I and that was an great episode. I like the fact that after Conner said, "Now you see me," he said "Now you're unconscience." I was expecting him to say "Now you don't," which I thought would have been corny. I'm glad they didn't use the sentai version of the morph, this one was much better in my opinon. I really loved that line between Ethan and Tommy at the end and how Tommy dogded Conners question, "Them?". Mesogog is a truly evil villan, I mean punishing the underlings, can't get much badder than that. |
