The Hornets are moving.

First off some news, the Charlotte Hornets have put in to move to New Orleans, this is upsetting because I enjoy having an NBA team so close to home, the trip to Charlotte is about three hours and I has enjoyed watching the game last year when I watched the 76ers play.  Although, management has put up a statement on the Hornets' site, it will take time to know for sure if there will still be an NBA team in North Carolina.

On a happier note the Hornets squashed the Knicks 111 to 68, with Baron Davis scoring 24 points.  This is the first time that Hornets have won in New York since 1997.

The NBA

Sacremento is now three games ahead of the world champs Lakers in the Western Devision of the NBA with the win over the Memphis Grizzlies last night, the Grizz scored 98 and lost to the Kings 112-98, which is the Kings 12th straight victory.  I think we will be seeing the Kings at least in the Western Finals this year.

Baseball

Mr. 73, Barry Bonds has agreed to a 14 year contract with the Giants, making him a giant until the year 2016, will he do it agian, the countdown is on for the 2002 season.  Mr 73 also carried the Olympic flame to Pacific Bell Park, lighting the flame in the last leg of the carrying of the flame across America.  The Winter Olympics will be held in Salt Lake City this year.

Football

And the there were four, the season is over and the playoffs are well underway.  The final four teams are as follows, New England and Pittsburg will be playing for the chance to go to the superbowl as will the Rams and Philadelphia.  These teams have a record of 13-5 or better, we shall see who will be the next champions, I'm rooting for New England myself.
