Milestones
Everyone has always told us "they grow up too fast".  During his colic days, we weren't believing those people, but it's starting to hit me that it's true.  It's funny because I don't even think of him as a "baby" anymore.  Yikes!

Tyler is rolling over as his means of getting around.  He can scoot himself back, but hasn't quite figured out that he can move forward.  Crawling is in the future, but not as close as I originally thought.

He's eating three large meals a day with 8oz. bottles in between those.  We've started giving the biter biscuits and zwieback toast.  He does well with both.  He hasn't accomplished eating the whole thing at once, but I'm sure that it'll be soon!  At church this past Sunday, the zwieback toast was a blessing!  In addition to introducing the zwieback and biter biscuits, I have also started to make his baby food, rather than buy it.  It can be time consuming, but is very simple.  He has a wide variety that includes mango, avacado, plum, etc.  He is not a picky eater at all.  Some of the foods that I feed him (namely the avacado), I turn my nose up at, but he likes them!  Ughh, I don't know why!  haha

A few last notes......

Tyler is starting to prop himself up a little bit.  He can't sit up on his own yet, but he did prop himself up in a tripod last night.  He didn't stay that way for very long, but it's progress!  He's also intrigued by clapping hands.  He will just sit and watch if you clap your hands.  Make up a tune, and start clapping.  He is in awe!

He's starting to mimic things now.  I have this one laugh that he has started trying to mimic.  It sounds like a cross between a cough and a laugh, but we finally figured out that he's copying my laugh!  Cute!!!  Now.....if we can just teach him to say "mamma" during the day, and "dada" at night!  Wouldn't that be great!

I'm trying to actually get a picture of this, but haven't been able to yet, but....whenever Tyler is tired, he recently started putting his hands up to his eyes...sort of like he's rubbing his eyes, but he just lays his hands over the eyes, covering the light, but the palms are out.  It's cute...hard to explain, but still very cute!  If I can get a picture of it, I'll add it to this page.

One final note...he's still not sleeping through the night.  Ughh!  He wakes up once (sometimes twice) in the night, but I guess it's better than the two to three times.  I can't complain!

By the way....it's a little early, BUT, we're not sure what we're doing for Thanksgiving yet, and we've got lots of ideas.  If anyone wants to get together this year for Thanksgiving, let's make plans soon!  (These things would play into the schedule at work for Greg.)
