3/17/04 - Tyler is still working on a full giggle. He's also developed this not so lovely habit of while anyone holds him, he takes his hand and pinches the soft part of the back of your upper arm. OUCH!!! I have also noticed that whenever I walk across the room that he now turns his head to watch where I go. He doesn't have the prediction of where we will go yet though and turn his head in advance. Another development is that he's starting to play with the toy bar on his bouncer now! It's so cute to see him sort of bat at the toys and look at himself in the mirror and give the HUGE grin! His eyes are turning from a blue to a green. Somedays they still seem more blue. I wonder if he'll have hazel eyes, like I do.
One thing about Tyler that we think is cute (you may find this gross) is that when we're at Walmart, he'll start grunting and his face turns beet red. It's painfully obvious that he's filling his diaper, but just his face is so cute! I'm sure that someday he will NOT appreciate this story as well! haha
3/18/04 - Update....Tyler got his shots yesterday and did not do the best. He did a LOT better than I expected afterwards, but he was NOT happy. I can honestly say that I've never seen someone's face turn that shade of burgundy. Poor thing. I did give him some Tylenol before going and have given more since then. He's doing a lot better today and is back to smiling a lot! I think it's going to be daddy's job at the 4 month mark. That was really hard on both Tyler and myself!
3/31/04 - Tyler's hair is finally starting to grow and get thicker. Maybe, just maybe, he'll have thick hair like I do and the little bald spot in the back will eventually go away....well, once he's not laying on his head so much! Let's see...what's changed......When I am holding him or carrying him, he's now supporting himself a lot more. He'll sit up straight and holds that position for a while before sort of bobbing. He's coming along! Also...one day last week, he was laying on the floor on his tummy and I went into the kitchen to get a bottle ready. While I was in the kitchen, he was crying (he's not very fond of "tummy time") and then all of a sudden the crying just stopped. I ran into the living room and Tyler had rolled over!!! He hasn't done it since then. I can tell that he's trying, but I guess it was a one time thing and he probably surprised himself. Either that, or do you think that Kegan is in cahoots with Tyler? Tyler probably promised Kegan that he'd share his table food with him when he gets older! In turn, Kegan flipped him over! haha On another note, Tyler's really enjoying his floor gym. (I think that is what it is called.) I'll have to post a picture of him playing. He lays there and the little animals that are moving to the music are entertaining. He now bats at them and plays. It quickly wears him out as well!
One small thing that I'm keeping an eye on is the fact that Tyler's not turning his head towards sound yet. I know that babies all develop at different stages, but it does concern me. I know that he can hear, but how well? OR.....is Tyler just ignoring us and not turning his head? haha Geesh, I thought that didn't kick in until they got older! (Let's hope he's just fine, and my worrying is for nothing!)
