WINTER 2000

Bring on the snowboarding...oh baby!

So now it's winter, and we're all psyched for snowboarding. We were originally going to get a job at Whistler and get a place in staff housing but those plans got scrapped when we landed out job at DSA. Both of us could have gotten jobs up there but it worked out much better by staying with DSA. We only work three days a week and get paid much more than we would if we were working for the mountain. We have a house in Whistler in White Gold Estates. We sleep in Duravan in the parking lot of the BC Research Complex when we're at work (much to the disgust of the other people working there). We keep getting asked to leave but screw that, there's no reason other than they're jealous of our situation...living in a van and all! So that's the deal for the Winter....bring on the snow!

Some of the shots are pretty good but we're still not sure about all the features on the camera so the quality isn't perfect yet.

No snowboarding pictures this weekend, but here's one of some firemen that had to come to the house!!

firemen Our chimney caught fire on Saturday night so I had to call the fire department. Everything's OK but it wouldn't have been if nobody was home!! sleep Last weekend it was pretty cold out and Mitch made us move inside. Here's us in our sleeping arrangement in the controls room at work!! naked Here's me getting ready for bed in the controls room. That thing in front of me powers a massif test stand...just in case I get board at night!

Well that's about it for the winter. Some pretty good pictures but they would have been a lot more intense if there had been ANY SNOW!!!!!!!!!!! We got screwed over in a big way in the snow department. NB got about 100X more snow then we did. I think the grand total is somewhere in the 500cm range...the normal is about 1400cm. That's my luck though, take a year off school to snowboard and get punished for it. I may make a few more additions so keep checking back. OH BABY HERE COMES THE SUMMER......
