Brazil - Corumba & The Pantanal

after taking the 24h train from Santa Cruz (Bolivia), and crossing the border to Brazil, we arived Corumba ...

Corumba is a hot and humid small border city and it is one of the gateways to the Pantanal. The Pantanal is a very big natural area (20,000 sqr Km), which is almost all covered with water during the summer, but at this period (October) it is the dry season ... we took a 3 days tour into the Pantanal, it was very hot, lots of Musquitos, but it was worth every second ..

day 1, we took the way to the camping site in the midle of the Pantanal. we cross a small mountain, big river (Rio Paraguai) and lots of lakes and swams. on the way we so lots of animals , speciaaly lots of birds and Aligators . we stoped to play a bit with the Aligators, and than continue to the camp. at evening, we took a walk around the camp, again, lots of birds, Aligators and other animals (we even spot some Monkeys !!)

day 2, we waked up early to see the sun rise, we took a braekfast and than we took the way to one of the rivers in the Pantanal. we spent the morning fishing "pireneas" and we actually cought a lot !! than we took agreat lunch eating those "pireneas" , that was tasty !! afternoon we took a small boat a long the river, again lots of birds and aligators, and we even so an Iguana !

day 3, we took a horses and ride around the Pantanal for few hours. (we realy felt like in a western ...) than, it becomes to hot to do anything , so we came back to the camp, trying to cool of by taking shower every 20 min. by the afternoon we took the way back to Corumba ...
