Bolivia - Sorata
We went for 2 days in one of the villages in the mountains called
Sorata (in the yongas), there, people live in very simple conditions,
most of them are farmers, and life other there is peacefull. The
village has electricity and watter 8which is quit luxus for a bolivian
village) but there are watter and electricity break many times a day
for few hours and that's usuall there......
We get to this village by bus and 2 hours walking in the wonderfull
landscape, going threw the mountains, crossing rivers, fields of mais
with farmers and little villages with friendly faces..... and the sound
of the wind on the ecalyptus trees and the high mountains......
sometimes, we crossed indian women with their heavy bags or indian
farmer with the last amount of wood on their shoulders which showed us
the shorter way threw to mountains to go down to Sorata..... and the
slight orange sunlight of the late afternoon was lighting the
landscape .... we had the impression to be in an impressionist
picture...... just us, the indians and the wonderfull nature...... so
quiet, so peacefull......
In the Indian Village of Sorata, we sleep in the last hostel down the
village and our room had a wonderfull wiew on the mountains, just
fantastic .......
The second day, we made a 6 hours treck in the mountains to get to an
other village, much more little (10 houses maximum) called San Pedro
and visited there a grote (cavern) , that was tireing but simply
wonderfull way between the mountains.
