Our 1^st Official Adventure as Road Dolls!

Greetings Road Dolls,

Our Vice-Mum Lenore Weiss and I have planned a get together for us. 

We will meet on Sunday, August 29th at Noon at Mill Town Market located at 508 N. Kankakee in Wilmington.  Why there you ask?  Mill Town Market has a huge variety of Red Hat Society merchandise and at the lowest prices around.  They are the leading suppliers of Red Hat Society items in the area.  Not only do they have Red Hat Society merchandise, but also Mill Town Market is a wonderful antique store.  Also, while I'm being official, I would like to ask that each of you send me 6 self addressed stamped business envelopes for future news!

I know according to the rules when we’re together on an official Road Dolls adventure we are to be in full Regalia (Red Hat and Purple Clothing), I also know that most of us have not had time to gather the outfits.  This will give us the opportunity to browse, shop & get ideas for the perfect Road Doll ensemble. But naturally, if you have it wear it!  I know I am!

Bring your husband/significant other/friend this is not a Road Dolls only outing. After all, we need somebody strong to carry all our goodies!  We’ll invite the “Holy Socks Gang” (John Weiss’ idea). The “Holy Socks Gang” may become more famous then the Red Hat Society, you never know! 

Speaking of the “Holy Socks Gang” after we shop till we drop we’ll work our way south and visit METAL ART BY JACK!  We need to humor the Holy Socks Gang and let them think this is for them too!  Ladies with hat-i-tude know how to handle the Holy Socks Gang!

 After browsing and shopping we have a lunch planned at a surprise location.  Let’s call this a Road Dolls Surprise!  Don’t worry it is very affordable and very worthy of Ladies with hat-i-tude!

 Lenore and I hope to see you at Mill Town Market located at 508 N. Kankakee, Wilmington, IL on Sunday August 29th at Noon.  Call me at 708-389-3823 and let me know if you can make it.  I have voicemail so feel free to call anytime.  Vice-Mum Lenore would like a headcount for the Surprise Road Dolls Lunch!  Don’t forget to include your “Holy Sock Gang” member if you’re bringing somebody when you respond!

 We’ve been invited to ride in the Odell Sesquicentennial Parade during the Route 66 Assoc. of IL. Picnic on Sunday September 12Th.  This should be fun; we’re trying to hoodwink a few antique vehicles or convertibles.
